Yea, its fun aint it?? I love the speed and the wind blowing in my face

But no you are right and its so hard to make a turn going at those speeds...your turn radius becomes the map size

I have never tried that trick I admit... so fly up and than just down with afterburners? how can you spot J10 with this techniq? why dont you lose soeed or pass the J10 at 3600mph ?!

J10 cant go past 2800ish, F35 can go about 3500-3600 and outrun J10 as well as the missile

When you take off, go straight up, when you hit ~550ft, push all the way forward, and then get up the rest of the way smootly (not too steep, or you will go too high, and at an upward angle. The trick is to be level when you hit the level), get up to about 850 for best results. Don't go any higher unless you know what you are doing. If you are just learning... just go to like... 800-820 untill you get the feel of it. Different maps have different levels at which you will start losing control.

But just get level flight in the 800-900 range with your afterburner going, and you will go... really fast. There are ways to go higher, and faster, but it's too hard if you can't do the basics. I am able to get to like 950 and still keep control. That is where the major speed is.

In all my time going supersonic... I have never outrun a J-10 missle by doing it, even though I am going about that speed. I have gotten out of a lock, but if a missle is already following me, I can't outrun it. But then again.. I do some stupid **** in the air because I don't think clearly.. sometimes I will just go really fast, and pull downwards gaining speed.

LOL they should make it so that you can break the sound barrier in the game (like everyone else would hear the sonic boom.

20% of your rockets hit the J10 when you're on his six. He doesn't even have to use flares, or turn. The rockets simply miss them. I'm just gonna jump out from now on when that thing is on my tail...

I have had incoming missiles on my six and I have outrun them everytime going Mach 3+

The missile will break lock and just give up, its very satisfying indeed.

EDIT: Think about it, look at the speed of the missile when you are going pretty fast around 600ish altitude at 2000ish km/h....it takes a little while to catch up to you. When you go 1500 km/h faster than that at 3500 km/h, you are definitely gonna outrun the missile.

Another EDIT: Also the missiles have the IR that can only go so far (I believe missile lock is 400 meters right?) Have you ever launched a locked missiles pretty far away from the enemy aircraft but it doesnt actually track it and just goes in a straight line like a dumb missile? I think that is exactly what happens....you outrun the missile and once you gain about 400 meters distance away from it, it cannot track you any longer.

I cant tell you how satisfying it feels now to be able to defend well against the J10 and have very very good rounds on Wake/Dalian/Dragon Valley now without being at a super disadvantage.

Remember, all aircraft armor is pretty weak....attack the J10 using stealth and speed and you can win, even against good pilots. ok I'm off to continue testing this on Wake!

O it definitely works. I just came from 2 rounds "dominating" the other J10 pilots and shot em down using missiles.

1 of them is an okay pilot(hes a J10 whore) and he couldnt understand it and said I had a modified plane  He got so ****ed off it was hilarious. His bf2 name is Gibster401

Fly high when the J10 comes around or locks onto you get too 800 ft hit afterburners and you will hit mach 3, he and his missles will loose you. You can still bomb ground targets you just need to learn how to do a diving bombing run.

                      Hope this helps

i think its the pilot that deserves the credit and not the plane...

Once i heard the first tone, i pulled up droped flairs and put the engine to hover while doing a back loop, and once he pulled away becase he was going to pass me up, i would pull up about 700-800 and my speed would jump to 1500-2000

then just flip back and i finished him off with my cannons...this also works well against the Mig but dont need go into hover mode

I also hit afterburner untill i drop my flairs
Ok, I just lost what you did... As soon as you heard him firing at you, you put the plane into VTOL and pulled the nose up like you were doing a back loop that everyone tries to do. Then your plane went up really high and your speed would go up, then you would dive back down and try to get him. Seems to work for you but I'll try it...

When you go into the VTOL mode with the engine facing down, does the plane have to slow down to get there, or does it keep its original airspeed for a little while? I'm a n00b pilot trying to get better, and it's really hard in the F35 against a J10. I think I get you guys drift though, get really high and go really fast.

When i dont hear the tone, i start up the engine again, but still doing the back loop and if i see a clear opening i dive straight up and look back to see the j10 looking for me the other direction, heal and reload

The others piolet first thing to do is make a pass to his own airfield, so look for him around that point.

Crazy as this may sound, but if you get a missile lock tone on you, barrel roll and launch flares. That tosses the flares upward, which buys you some more time to evade. I picked up that trick from one of the stunt videos.

If people didn't already know that, they shouldn't even bother with J-10's :p

There are other good methods also. One that works good for AA is when you get a lock on you, pull back (going upwards) hit the flares, dive back, and then pull back up.

                                it's hard to explain really.
