Re: Christian Gamers Online.
You sir, deserve a ban. Even if I wasn't a Christian, I'd find that extremely obscene and incredibly offensive. I mean, that was completely and totaly the most uncalled for, uneducated thing I have EVER read.
First off, yes, some Christians are sheltered. Some Christians live in this "plastic bubble, care bear, diluted world." Those Christans are, indeed, "pansies." But, there is another side to Christians. There are people who have and would DIE for what the believe, die to preach it and to learn it. Some Christians have been through more than you could ever imagine being through. Jesus himself was severly beaten, forced to drag the cross on which he would be crucified for a distance of a mile or more, then nalied through his wrists and feet to interlocking giant wooden poles. All but one of his disciples suffered similar or otherwise deadly fates. Throughout the course of time, Christians have been mocked, injured, and killed for their faith in an otherwise "imaginary" God. I don't think that's not really being a "sheltered pansie b!tch," now is it? People like you really just trounce on my last nerve.
You know, the funny thing about that is that Christianity was "promoted" by the a relatively small group of Jews in Roman times. Note that the Jews were pretty much under entire Roman rule, and few Romans OR Jews actually took Christianity to heart. Now, considering how small and insignificant this group of people seemed at the time, that really doesn't sound like this religion was designed to keep anybody "in line."
Approximately 40-50% of the US CLAIMS to be "Christian." Few of these people actually hold the worldview and are only in it to get their sorry asses "saved." That reduces the real Christian population down to about 20%. Then you wipe out the crazy ass relgious fanatics who claim to be so much better than everyone and that gets you about 10%. Yeah, that never was really a valid stereotype. God knows how we got it.(Hehe, unitentional pun.)
Since when has Christianity ever, EVER been about fun? Christianity is all work, my man, not fun; at least, not until you reach the pearly gates. By the way, I have no beef with you, it's just the "keep the masses in line" thing that got me rambling.
