Nice to see the community bashing the only still-politically-correct group to bash. Props guys. Bottom line is this: Their server, their rules. Why bash Christians for this singular case? If you guys got a problem with Christians, this is hardly the place to take it out. Show some common courtesy and respect. Just because a group attempts to maintain some manner of restraint and order on their servers, you guys pounce on THEM, their RELIGION, and of course, Jesus. I'm gonna ask ANYONE who has a complaint against Christ to bring it to me. I am by no means a perfect individual, and thoroughly enjoy BF2, whatever ethical issues that beings up :P, but I know Christ to be perfect, and if His people fail on whatever subject you wish, this "hypocrisy" just might be due to the fact they are human. Remarkable that the only thing this "civilized" planet had for their Creator was a cross. Anyways, this topic is way blown out of proportion... Hundreds of servers, why even bother? I don't swear out of habit, but if you do, I can't imagine why you would go in a Christian server, unless for provocative reasons, such as making a point out of it. As for Evolution vs. Creation... Well... I know I was never an ape, but I'll just leave it at that... If "science" is the deciding factor, www.answersingenesis.org is pretty interesting, even for a non-christian... Belief is an important thing just don't wrap it up in a story or shell such as church.

Many a soldier took comfort in a religion. Be they budist, hindu, etc... its belief, belief they are to survive.

An interesting philosophical question: Kicked for language or for others being better in a server that professes Christian beliefs, and yet plays at the most profane of all human activities, war.

Hypocrisy is nothing new, even in battlefield two. But . . .

Perhaps we should let these people be. It is their server.

(Unless they are a ranked server. In which case if the ROE is broken then it is a concern.)

ok, buckle up cause this one might hurt some of you. The reason i might appear blunt and frank in the following is because people like Lithium come on this forum and say what they need to say.

First of all, im a freelancer, i dont post just check up on the fourms to stay informed, particularly this one. I by no means want to insult anyone here, Flame anyones ideology, or disrespect ones religion, im just putting my 2 cents in.

First of all im of mostly jewish hertiage, and yet i live in the bible belt. Although my interesting position, i consider my self an athiest. I find religion to be a waste of time and money. And if the world ends tommorow, i find it amazing that i will be "left behind" through gods "eternal forgiveness". To me Christians are just as bad as The muslims are. For someone to forceably try to change the mind of people is wrong. The christians will fight anyone to change that group to their point of view. Just like muslims will kill for their point of view. Although thoes are the extreams of the groups im trying to make a point. And im sure every religion has their Cult Group and their peaceful group but it sure seems that christians have the largest number of "crazy" groups like The KKK and Nazis, not to mention countless other cults. But as my friend Lithium said "THe son of god" and not the "son of my god" brings me to my next point.

I find religion to be a false truth. Something people hide behind of what they are unsure about. Some last longer than others, but they usuly die out on their own. As someone said before in this thread, "fossils do exist are are real". In my opinion almost everywar was created because of diffrent religious views. Hell, the western world got its power by the crusades. To be honest, "I believe", a phrase i wish many people would learn instead of the truth is, the world without religion would of grown up to be a peaceful one, noone trying to forcably change anothers ideologies.

Now I do not want to look like the antagonist in this argument so i will say what i believe the benifits religion are. They bring people togeather one way or another. Making common ground between 2 people who without religion couldnt relate to eachother in a simple way. They bring hope for another and comfort for the future. And in that they are extreamly useful.

I am by no means an anti-christ or a goth, if you will. I dress like everyone else, and live my life with good grades and good friends from different religions. I have been on both sides of the argument, for and against religion. I have been insulted and so has my family for our beliefs. Again most of my family does believe in god. I have just been raised without any biases like my parents wanted. They wanted to see what i would grow to believe and support me threw what ever decision i make. I have been dumped by girls because i wouldnt go to church with them.

Again this is a forum for everyones ideas. Yes i know this whole thing is alittle offtopic but again i felt compelled to post.

I encourage people with different views on this controversial matter to speak up but not flame. Its the free worlds right of freedom of speech i want to see.

Jesus was cool. It's his followers that suck. I've never seen a group of "disciples" misconstrue and misrepresent the most ideal teachings in history... well, except for the Muslim radicals. One religion's valiant warriors are another religion's army of darkness.

All I'm saying is that if you're going to host a server broadcasting a playerbase of a certain association (and make it public), all the visitors will either contribute or witness the representation. If I host a server called "Atheists United", I will still admin it to common sense rules, not what my personal or institution's beliefs dictate I should do. The best way to represent your group is to represent it in a positive way. If some whack job wants to host a pub and crack the whip on anyone that mans a vehicle or kills him, that's up to him. Similarly, entering that pub and subjecting yourself to it is your responsibility.

Shield, I think the argument you would want to use against anyone bashing your religion (whether you subscribe or not) is "We believe in the same god, just different messengers".
