Please say that i will be able to run this game. If i cant tell me what parts i need upgraded.
Practical and cost conscious suggestions:
1. ) You need additional ram- 512mb will get you running but 1Gb. is recommended.
2.) Direct-X9 video card - at least an ATi 9600pro (very cheap now) will let you run BF2 at low settings. A 9800se will let you run at medium settings. A 12 pixel pipe-line vcard will let you run at high settings with reduced or limited AA & AF. Newegg has a lot of cheap 9600, 9800 and Nvidia 6600 but if your budget allows, try getting the 6800 or higher for as long as its AGP, which I think is the graphics slot of your mobo.
3.) The above will let you run BF2 but to improve on your performance further, replace your processor with atleast a 2.8Ghz pentium IV.
The above suggestion will let you run BF2 but don't expect fluid eye-popping graphics, it will cost you more to enjoy that one!

Hmm, some computers only have PCI slots, you know, so the highest they'll take is a 6200. I know this because I have a PC with only PCI. That's low settings, 800x600 for me, until I get a new computer.
Your game isn't going to run well at all with a 2.0 Celeron. You can upgrade the RAM, but your CPU is going to bottleneck any graphics card you get. It's better to just throw that old PC out and get a new one, IMO.

For smooth game play get:
256mb 6600 GT
1.5gb Ram
2.5ghz P4 or better

I have an internet cafe and PCs were bought 2 years ago with the following specs:
30 units - 512mb ram, XP2000+ cpu, 9600 pro (it plays BF2 at low settings)
15 units - 512mb ram, barton 2500+ cpu, 9800se (it plays BF2 at mid set.)
5 units - 512mb ram, Athlon64 3000+ cpu, 9800pro (it palys BF2 at hi set. no
effects, no AA & AF)
Note: All BF2 are played in 1080x800 reso. Lag is experienced on tight battles with several players moving at the same time in a tight space in maps like Karkand but generally playable on the entire maps regardless of players.
I am on the process of upgrading the 40 PCs with the following specs:
Opteron 146, 1 Gb. memory, x850XT/PE, 160Gb HD, DFi Ultra-D, etc.
The specs you posted above that I quoted will indeed give anyone a smooth game play. :)
