A Recon class sounds cool, and it could actually work. They could be like a commander on the battlefield, not exactly sure what they could add to make them recon but something like a mini uav could work.

Instead of kits I'd like to see players having a fixed encumberance limit and be able to load any weapons/body armor configuration they wanted to within the encumberance limit. e.g.

No armor
M16A2
3 Rocket Launchers

.
.

really we just need a game with a larger scale and complexity. typhoohn rising was getting there but it had a couple of crippling issues

Getting a bit bored with the regular kits and I hope a future patch adds some new classes.

For example I would like to see a scout kit - very fast runner with light armour, binoculars and sub machine gun

Mortar kit

Paratroopers which dont spawn at flags but drop from overhead planes

Any other suggested kits?

There wont be any more new classes. If you are getting boarded start looking to the mods that will be released for BF2:

Desert COnflict
Point of Existence 2

Basically what we have in BF2 is all there is and all there ever will be.

Melee kit, consists of for the forces:

Machete (MEC)
Katana (PLA)
Wrench? (USMC)

Also a Chav kit, in dedication to that elitegriz chav, would consist of:

x1 Brick
x1 Burbary cap
x1 Radio of curse words
x1 packet of cigs

comes with camo chefs hat, bullet proof apron, portable BBQ, esky full of ice, beer & T-bone steaks, tongs, spatula, knife & fork, special sanitation kit for keep everything clean, salt & pepper shackers and rolling pin as a main weapon.
