what new classes would you like to see ?

Getting a bit bored with the regular kits and I hope a future patch adds some new classes.

For example I would like to see a scout kit - very fast runner with light armour, binoculars and sub machine gun

Mortar kit

Paratroopers which dont spawn at flags but drop from overhead planes

Any other suggested kits?

You wont get new kits in a new patch 1.3 will most likely be the last patch for BF2

I like the mortar kit idea and the recon kit could be good but i think it would be useless in BF2

Looks like battlefiled2142 will have only 4 kits. I think they want to streamline the game not make it more complex (fun).

actually Bf2142 has 4 classes each with 2 kits so if my math is correct than that makes 8 kits.

Recon class = recon and sniper kits
Support class = Medic and Engy kits
Assault class = Rifleman and MG gunner kits
Anti-Veihicle = Anti-tank and Anti-Air kits.

Instead of kits I'd like to see players having a fixed encumberance limit and be able to load any weapons/body armor configuration they wanted to within the encumberance limit. e.g.

No armor
M16A2
3 Rocket Launchers
