Mine was for basic spec. ops, on Fu She Pass, the final kill being a longish range kill with the M4. Feck knows why/how I remember that

Even when you have many, I still love to hear that drum roll - especially for the higher level ones b/c they tend to come as a suprise.

I think mine must've been basic medic or basic spec ops, or maybe the airborne ribbon. I got all three very early on (think those three were my first three awards), but can't remember which was first... I've a feeling it was the airborne ribbon. I remember being in a helicopter and the pilot was just taking us higher and higher and higher on Songhua, and I couldn't figure out wtf he was doing and I just wanted to fight, so I jumped out... That was in the days before I appreciated the advantages of the HALO technique...Comment

My first drum roll was for basic pistol badge and gave me a shock as I wasn't expecting it
I was playing as sniper on Karkand with my flatmate watching and he suggested I might have more targets at another location. I got up and started walking to the isolated flag on the left and along the way killed 5 people with the pistol and suddenly got the drumroll which made me jump a bitComment
