Uh, claymores CAN be "uncontrolled"

"Uncontrolled Mode (also known as Victim Initiated Detonation) - Uncontrolled firing is accomplished when the mine is installed in such a manner as to cause an unsuspecting enemy to detonate the mine. Mines employed in this manner must be reported and recorded as land mines. There are many fuzing mechanisms that can be used to initiate the M18A1 in uncontrolled mode, including the M142 Multipurpose Firing Device, M5 Pressure Release Device (mousetrap), tripwires, strikers, infrared sensors, acoustic & vibration sensors."

2. Snipers, who when you stumble across, they try to pull out their claymore as fast as possible, instead of pull out the M95 or pistol and actually engaging in combat.

Heres another: People who insta prone upon seeing you. Now what annoys me about this is not the fact people do it, but the inane animations (rolling yet still firing 100% accurately, gun cradled in your arms not pointing at the enemy etc). Why couldnt they make the camera for the players view do the same as the animation OR just make the guy dive forward with his gun out in front of him, rather than having me shot by some guy pointing his gun way to the left?

Enemy claymores - Its the short straw challenge, whoever loses gets the pleasure of being our 'mine clearer' Though can engineers clear them? That just popped into my mind there.

Example: The ridiculous way claymores work in this game... it was said before that claymore mines are hand-triggered mines that must be manually "fired" by a soldier with a hand-clapper with a long wire leading to the mine...These magical infared/motion sensor claymore mines are utterly nonexistent... another thread suggested make them bouncing betty mines or something... claymores arent magic... they are manual.

getting revived in the field of fire of a sniper and feeding that sniper 3 or 4 kills before the medic, in his mercy, stops reviving me... lol

actually claymores can be set to trip wire as well although it does take time to do so in real life claymores are not instant drop and ready to fire whynot attach a time to getting one in place like reloading

the nice part about revived is it does save you from a death even if he revives you 10 times in a row there are no deaths assosciated with it

ok another point that irks me is seeing some one that need health i throw the packs at him and he runs away with 1 bar of health

asking for ammo to have the supply guy run away to fight instead of getting some easy points

jeeps that take off at start of a game with only the drive in it leaving 15 people to walk the 150 metes to the first spawn

Tripwires would be really cool.... max them at like 10 yards or something...

Now that wiki-link, I had no idea they had such methods of detonation... intersting.

REGARDLESS, lol... now that Ive been proven wrong in part.... I still hate the way claymores are implemented into the game as it is now...

oooh i can think of a lot of things, but in order:

1.you spend a ridicolous time loading - 98%...99%...100% yes! validating? ok, that cant take long *5 minuites leter* has it froze? what is validating anyway?

2. youve got 20 minutes to pass, might as well play bf2. ok, after loading, this is quite low. you spawn, and walk over to a jet. you get in, start accelerating, and then someguys walk infront and then punish. jets shouldnt get tks when takign off!

3. hmm...baseraping! invent some rule which stops this! hype up uncapable base aa and other defence!

4. definately most of the communities moaning. before 1.3 is even released, theres a tunna threads complaining about the jeep drop and how rubbish the co-op will be. as for the squad hopping - how do you know what it will be like? you havnt even tried it yet. this makes clanwars about tactics, not some guy sneaking around the back, and his whole team spawning on him. give dice a chance!

Hell no it isnt ironic. it is 100% par for the course for anybody who has ever spent 15 minutes in a video game web forum...

People often confuse Forum Population with Player-base Population...

Forums are inhabited by people with lots of things, mainly: 1. Spare Timie and 2. Opinions. And since positive opinions are often chastised as coming from fanboys and other meaningless descriptors like "fags" and "newbs"... the people who enjoy the game, by and large, avoid the forums for any purpose other than news gathering... Report a bug, get a patch release date, aska tech question...

If I had to break it down into percentages, I would ESTIMATE that 75% of the forum posters lean toward negativity, 20% lean toward positivity and 5% just dont care... The people trolling but not posting are probably a more 50/50 split, maybe the positive people even out-number the negative nancys... we may never know.


I would also guess that of the thousands of people playing this game on over 900 servers (last nights server list had 905 and I had my filters on, not full, not empty, not passworded, ranked, etc...) probably less than 5% are active on any forums...

Whiners rule the forums for every game Ive ever played, its a fact of life.

2) ignorant admins blind to cheating
3) admins that harbor cheaters and boot those that call them on it
4) fags in plane1 that die and come over after youve been waiting for plane2 to spawn and TK you for it
5) ignorant bf2 players that cant find the page up key
6) carrier AA guns that have no chance of taking out air
7) a clip of sniper bullets that couldnt bring down a teddy bear
8) fattys

I get tired of all the vote kicks and mutinies. Non stop, and people are to pu55y to tell you why they are starting the vote kick. People can't handle confrontation.

Forgetting to reload after taking out 3-4 people and getting into another firefight 10 seconds later, only to have 2 round in your clip.

Not being able to run further and having jumping kill your stamina. (Damn those bunny hoppers for screwing up everything back in 1.12).

Medics running by not reviving anyone, and the arrogant snobs that feel that the Medic kit is just a killing machine and not a team oriented kit.

People that will not pick up your Medic kit to revive you.

FF off on claymores.

No AA for AT kits, like DC had. If they have a 3rd tier unlock booster pack later, they need to take way the MG for AT and give them a stinger, sorry AT to shortchange you, but that is your kit's mission, should you choose to accept it.

Commanders not supplying people behind the lines.

People running around when your capping yelling "get ammo"...I can understand "need first aid" but keep it on the D/L son!

Sniper scopes.

Lack of Dual-Core, x64bit version, no Wide Screen support.

People ramming their own teammates when in a helo. Accidents happen, just not when their are 6 people in a bird.

Gimping the MG on the BH.

Assult not having more smoke grenades, the smoke not thicker.

When you have VOIP, there is not a button (like V for VOIP to commander or B for Squad chat) to talk to all people on your team within 10 yards. Like C to talk to immidate proximity players. I say this because if ****es me off when I see a claymore or throw a grenade and the a team mate runs into it and you cant warn them.

Getting Team switched when you are about to win the round, when you are a squad leader, or in a squad. MF!

What grinds my gears more than anything else in this game is the "jihadis" who put c4 or whatever on their buggy/atv and ram my tank/lav/apc with it. Sure, they blow me up with it, but the kill themselves in the process ***giving them NEGATIVE points*** People, are you really out there to HURT your score?!? Surely there must be a better way to get me out of the tanky. :)

They should make the "V" key the Vehicle Com key and the "C" key the Commander key.
