Very nice video. I dont see myself however achieving this kind of flying with the mouse. I think Im pretty close to my limit in flying with the mouse since there is only so fast you can turn and roll with it.
I fly with mouse and keyboard and i can do all this stuff with ease it just takes practice... But yes metallica, the amount of noobs that NEED to watch this video is amazing. I'd love to pilot or gun with you.
To everyone that says this wont work in game, yes, most of the time it won't work, but the time to use it is if you are on US and chinese has one of those 3 bases left.
The AT rockets move slow, so if you see one... just move.. and then get back to the slow strafing. I didn't add near as many things as I wanted to... because a million things go through my head as I pilot. Like if there is a group of enemies and I don't see an AT, I will just hover... and if I see a sniper start looking at me (or if I see 2 bars get taken off every couple of seconds) I will go back to the strafing.
It just all depends, but the hovering is asking for death... so I just suggest doing it for short periods of time (like 5 seconds).
Again, if enemy jet/heli's are in the air, don't move slow like this. Hopefully you have a gunner that can use the camera missles, and you can aim him at the other chopper and forget about it. If you have a really good gunner, you can aim him at jets.. lol.
Note that when he strafed slowly, he did it for the gunner.
Like Sloi said, slow = dead, and that's not good for you or your gunner. Personally, if I am on the ground, I love the slow circle of death, turns into the flaming chopper of death. The gunner needs to be able to lead the targets so the pilot can move fast and keep them both alive.
Its the the issue of switching between seats and switching to the TV that slows me down, once the TV screen comes it takes almost 3 secounds before it lets me even fire.... wtf is with that?
You're probably doing something wrong because I can fire it almost the moment I switch to the gunner position. That said, it's a little late to be learning this technique because patch 1.3 will eliminate it...
Thanks for posting the vid. I have never been good at flying EA style. I have sucked at all of thier BF series games. I can sorta fly in a lumbering style to where I need to get. I was a top notch pilot in Soldner, but my skills didn't transition. So I NEVER take the choppers in BF2, so I'm not that guy. I'll gun only. Maybe this video will help me improve.
