I think Karkand itself has more problems than the weapons ever did and it has yet to see any tweaks. Putting the player spawners in sensible locations (Not in direct view of tanks) helps a **** load.
Never thought about that, but changing the spawn locations on kark could make a dramatic difference, but that will never change.
What I should have said is "infantry based nerfs" sorry.
And yes Karkand is the testing grounds for infantry I suppose.
And yeah I mis-stated that the PKM is sub-par, just meant it went from godly to an equal plain with other guns..I can honestly voice an opinion on the PKM..considering I have 11k kills with it as opposed to my second weapon a carbine having only 2k kills...trsut me, I knwo everythign there is to knwo about the LMG/PKM.
And yes I am a true Karkand junkie, yep 50% of my 700ish hours are there.
But like I stated before, Karkand is a great warm up map after a days work, and alot of the times its the only maps that are populated..so being forced to play Karkand is usual. But more and more I hate Karkland. Ive played so much Karkand Im almost burnt out of BF2 it self.
I do find it odd that a mass majority or BF2 players crave urban maps like Karkand...yet we never get urban maps with are explansions..I guess Spec Forces exp. counts, but it seems no one plays it, or its just a hassel to pick a Spec map cause it cant be played in BF2 map rotation and a few other issues.
I think it comes from people whining on this forum and other forums where you the guy that was whineing about the medic gun being over powerd the other day?
[QUOTE='seeker'[uk]its the best map to learn infantry is it not?[QUOTE]
It's the best for close up combat and constant choke points, so yeah its the best for that reason for highlighting nerf spots. You certainly wont be a well rounded infanty player if you play it all the time.
I guess Im the only one who fully agrees with the topicstarted. Yes, we can all blame Karkand.
......Then someone moaned about having to drive their tank/APC all the way from the factory to the hotel. And thats how the commander get the power to spawn vehicles. - Im too happy that there is guns in theis game, cos God, it makes me wanna shoot people.
I really don't understand all the karkland flaming..
Has anyone thought that alot of people play it because its one of the best maps? Where you can fight infantry to infantry properly without getting the planes buzzing all around..
Who cares if people stat whore there, thats their prerogative, and I'll probably be called a stat whore because I play karkland more than anything, but I'm not I just like the close quarters ground pounding mayhem thank you :)
90% of the community plays Karkand more then any other map
This statement says 2 things to me about why it's the most played.
1) The majority of the population loves the infantry map.
Has always been the case for BF'ers.
2) There is a major imbalance in map design.
The fact that points are accumulated easiest on Karkand shows an inherent imbalance in the game itself.
IMO there shouldn't be a point slope to that degree when comparing maps.
