^-- yeah that. I cannot belive how fussy people are about what kit they use. Just jump up and carry on with the kit they gave u fs. Chances are one of you will die soon enough - and if it's him, you can get your kit back and revive him anyway. You're far more likely to die if you faf around for ages looking for a kit.

        Re: please revive the medics

I was on our clan server and we had just taken the Backyard on Mashtuur and we were pinned down by fire coming from the hills to the east and I noticed 4 dead right behind the tin fence so I hauled it over there picked up a medic kit and was able to revive 3 of them , the 4th ones timer expired .

Thats 3 saved tickets and +6 pts for me.

People that knowingly don't revive a medic when the situation clearly allows it need to have their head checked.

If a medic revives me in the middle of a fire fight instead of fighting I get aggrivated. Too many medics get tunnel vision when they see a guy go down. Always, check to see if the coast is clear BEFORE you dash out with the shock paddles and if you see the enemy, kill them BEFORE you come try to revive me.

I would much rather die and have a medic avenge my death than die and then die again from the same guy because the medic wasn't pay attention.

so in a battle you would leave a fallen man behind? where was the deal "leave no man behind" this is not about "stat paddling" if it was we would be doing it over and over and over for over 10 min and this type of "situtiation" only happens every now and then so I could hardly count it as "stat paddling" also if you have no skills in other kits you are not a very good player no offense.

              Re: please revive the medics

I usually revive a dead medic if the coast is clear and he's within reach. Since I play all of the kits and not just one exclusively, I don't get bent out of shape if I can't get the one I was originally using back right away. I'll just reselect it when I die again.

And whoever said that this was stat padding needs to grow a pair. You're helping your team out by preventing a friendly death (which drops the ticket ratio for your team), thus keeping your team's chance of victory stable. REAL stat padding has no effect on your team's victory, and thus is not rational to categorize this behavior as such.

ya of course if the "coast is not clear" it would not be very wise to revive inless you want to give it a chance. I only said if no enemy is seen around or if the enemy was allready killed. Im not talking about a big gun fight against the wyaat earp gang on karkland

                    Re: please revive the medics

well I'm glad Sabo knew what I was talking about, for Smyth and Rambo let me clarify since it was so hard to get my meaning.

                    To Rambo:

I didn't say leave the guy behind, I said, in little words for you to understand "if you don't like the kit they gave you so they could take your kit and revive you, don't complain about not being a medic and don't waste time trying to get the medic kit back. Go kill something with the new kit".

                    to Smyth:

Oh that really mature, calling others immature. Since you didn't understand either let me put it into little words you can understand too. When I used the word statpadding I used it because the only reason to be upset about not being medic anymore is because you won't get +2 points for every guy you revive. Instead, now that you're anti-tank go blow up a tank till you die again. Or, if you're assault, now's the time to get some practice in with the grenade launcher.

I didn't call all medics statpadders, I called those who get upset about not being able to get +2 points every 5 seconds, statpadders. If you really cared about the team, no matter what kit you are after being revived thanks to that guy that gave up his kit to be a medic, you would still fight just as hard and use that new kit as if you had chosen it. Understand?

Statpadding == Illegal in terms of BF2

Reviving every person you see in a legit battle == Not illegal, but retarded if you do it at the wrong time.

With the above two statements in mind:

                      Retarded =/= Statpadder

Note** not all retards are statpadders but all statpadders ARE retards..there is a difference.

..I can use photoshop or Freehand to draw you a diagram if you still don't understand it.

So no you're comparison does not make sense...really, you're comparison was retarded.

                          Re: please revive the medics

how about you actually go out there on the battlefield? Who are the guys that usually get the huge points in any map? I'll tell you since you can't fingure it out otherwise you wouldn't have bothered posting in the first place.

A good percentage of the time, the guys who make the most points are either armor/plane whores. When there are neither around, or the battle is particularly tough on a given day, usually it's the medics who are getting the tons of points. Now, I've been a soldier who looks at the distribution of medics on the battlefield during a round. I notice, to my sorrow, that rather than spread out and help guys all over the battlefield, medics tend to congrgate where there is the fiercest fighting.

For instance, I play Karkand alot, and it's rare to see a medic going up the right side alley way but if your in that little yard in front of the hotel, there's usually 4 to 5 medics. Why? because they all know ppl are going to die and they are going to be there when 3 ppl are killed by a claymore. Now, come on, if there's 2 medics in one spot, you're team is pretty well covered, but there's at least one stat padder in that group of 5.

How do I know this? let's look at it like this, if they were 5 support guys, they'd be rushing in and kicking ass, but medics like to stay in back and heal people. So to make themselves lots of legitimate points, rather than rushing in and killing, many will just sit there and just go in to heal the guys who got killed.

Now, many medics may not be stat padders but you know nothing about this game if you don't know that medics almost always land in the top 10 points of a round.

Now about you're whole "healing everyone in the battlefield = legitimate" argument. Don't tell me you're one of those ignorant brats that thinks that statpadding occurs only in small clan servers where one guy gets killed and revived a hundred times thus boosting his friends' scores. Because the battlefield is hell, there's no way of knowing if that medic who revived you was doing it to help the team or doing it to get +2 points.

However, here, off the battlefield, we can determine who stat pads. For instance, I consider a stat padder anyone who says "revive the medics" and "But give us back our kits afterwards" in the same sentence a blatant stat padder. Killing the enemy will do as much good for your team as reviving your teammates but if you're still whining about getting the medic kit back after being switched and revived, you're a stat padder.
