I just actually had a brainwave.. Didn't know that I had a brain, but hey

Give the assault class a medpack. A single medpack that they can use to heal themselves with once, just like a medic. He can carry one at a time and can get new ones by picking them up or from supply crates.

Rifle grenandes are obsolete. No NATO country uses them anymore. They take so much time to set up and fire. The under barrel 203 is perfect.

However, I'd love to see a bayonette. How much fun where they in Day of Defeat. Even better how about butt stroking peoples faces in?? Even better than bayonettes!!

My research came up with France and Germany still use them.

I dont think we can go by what armies in the RW use in BF. Other wise, the US ingame forces would use the M16 and nothing else.

I have never liked any of the idea's for improving the assault class, as they have the GL and loads of armour already, but i have to admit i quite like the idea of adding bayonets, if nothing else it should persaude more assault classes into the front line, as it is a lot stay back and pick people off because of the lack of sprint.

They should absolutly never get more sprint and a health pack?? wtf??

Have to say the idea of the bayonet seems a quality one. I'm the same at the moment (racking up hours for expert badge). Personally I love the basic gun for the US team. I guess playing Assault on SF is more fun because you get the flashbangs and graple hook. Come to think of it you get that on BF2 now too so there is one extra thing I guess?

What about making the M16 deal 34 dmg instead of 30? It uses the same ammo as the AK101 and has a longer barrel.
The grenade launcher needs to have a higher radius than the normal grenades, and you should get more of them.

I mean really. whats so spesh about the assault kit that makes him run real slow.. the MASSIVE smoke grenade he carries around?
All other slow runners have like a 16 kilo machinegun, or a large metal tube of death...FIVE large tubes of death. gimme a break.

Love the bayonet idea, could work with Alt-Fire like the scope on a sniper rifle...

Bayonet + some more sprint = big help for assault class.

bigger than regular grenades? i dont think so, might as well make the tube the only weapon in the game then

i agree it should be some where between the 1.12 and 1.2 patches, but thats it

i think some of the upgrades should be for the G3 unlock only
the plus side for the default kits is they have the grenade launcher

better accuracy is a must, the fact the carbines are more accurate than assault rifles is ludacris

why is the g36e considered an assault rifle? it appears to be a bit longer than the g36c, but only an inch or two, nothing significant though

but actual Grenades that attach to the end of the barrel and fired off using either a live round or a blank.

lol I'd love to see someone try to shoot off one of those grenades using a live round. Shows them right. btw those things don't go very far, why not just get a real grenade? or use the normal rifle with the grenade launcher.

I think the noobnades was what made assault attractive,until they killed them.
Now the whole class seems a bit.. small.
