You should smack yourself for starting this thread. I suppose you must have way too much time on your hands and should get a job or a hobby. How anyone can see this as a bad thing is certainly beyond me. It's squad hopping smacktards like you that help screw up this game. Learn to play as a team and you won't have any problems.

Then change squads while you're still alive and respawn on the new SL on your next death.
        No great loss.

Its hard enough to get people to join a squad and spawn on you after to go to the trouble of getting to the rear flag.

Now it will be freakin impossible to get people to jump squads to spawn on the back flag.

Who came up with this dumbask idea anyway.

Does ANYONE remember there being a BIG problem with squad jumping?
I can' t remember there ever even being a thread about it until now....
So was there a problem that NEEDED to be fixed?

Fuxk no. But I bet the rest of the freakin glitches are still gonna be there.

What the heck is ea smokin???

Well FYI I have a job (technical support for a swedish ISP if you want the details). With that said I can also add that the replies varies a lot depending on how you play the game. For public, sure squadjumping could be labeled as "stupid" or whatever. When it comes to clan gaming on the other hand it is essential.

I play in the clan SweMedics and we play mostly for fun of course but without squadjumping most of the clangaming will die away and all thats left would be a down going community. Many games lives on community support and I believe clans are a big part of keeping a game going for a long time. I have nothing against keeping squad jumping away from public games, all that I ask for is that it should be left as an option for clan games.

And please, keep those dumb posts like "get a job" out of this when you have no idea about anything. I keep away from personal attacks, especially in more serious threads and replying with something like that is just plain stupid IMO. But sure, you sure knows alot so please keep bashing and tell me that I should move away from home, get a job, get a life, stop whining, stop pretending that I am in a clan etc. When You have Absolutely NO IDEA how it really is. So who has the most free time here? The one trying to save something that is a basic idea for the game and keeps the clans going or the one that keeps bashing about something he has no idea about. I'll leave that question for anyone to answer themself.

The talk about not caring about the pro's and so on is just selfish. Guess noone should've made any remarks about what were missing in BF1942 and we've would've been here today with the exact same game as then only with new skins and nothing new at all. Or maybe you don't want community oriented patches that actually fixes what we want and not just add features for the ones only looking at that.

They can change the name of this patch from 1.3 to the Lone Wolf Patch.

there is absolutly no reason that squad hopping in its current state should happen. it takes the point out of squad leading and is ultimatly a pain in the neck. i think that removing squad hopping is definitly a good thing (and i do it often aswell).

Re: Help saving the BF2 community by signing the petition!

If you step back, and really look at the BIG picture, squad hop'n actually takes away from teamwork, rather then help it.

Im sorry if you disagree, but seriously, if you think about it, and look at how its being used in its present state (and getting worse daily, i might add) it really doesnt help the overall teamworking process. Sure, it works.
However, As I have said before, and i'll repeat it again, i guess, im seeing DICE not really changing squad hoppin. What they actually will change, and this has been written by the way, that they will change squad leader hopping. Not squad hopping itself.
In other words if you dont care about being a squad leader, you can or rather, will be able to still jump from squad to squad. However, gone will be the ability to quit as a squad leader, rejoin, and respawn on the "live" guy.

I think I agree with this. I won't sign it either. I'd like to see the rotating squad leader nerfed as well.

But please, think in the bigger end. What happens in public, well I have no problem with that but atleast vote so that clans can keep the rotation of squadleaders left and keep the community alive.

Think about it like CS, its no way CS would still be alive today without the clangaming around it.

Only need one thread on this. Keep it all together.

The other one is longer and better titled. Use it.
