Help saving the BF2 community by signing the petition!

Hello fellow BF2 players. Those of you that read www.bf2.se will know what this is all about.

Otherwise I will sum it up for you. Rumors are that squadjumping will be removed in 1.3 according to a fix list leaked (fake or not, noone knows but it sure looks real). For more info please take a look at http://www.bf2.se/petition/

Also make sure you read http://www.bf2.se/pfs.php?m=view&v=67-squadything.jpg

Please note that I am not in any way trying to create some "sign a stupid petition for nothing" thread. Please take your time and read what it says and decide then what to do. Any BF2 player from sweden knows that bf2.se is great bf2 portal for swedish and has weekly reports from Up-North and the like.

    kosmiq out!

i like the idea that if you join a squad you have too stay with it for the round . the game is about team play right ? well , maybe people should'nt jump ship to suit their personal goals. when you join a squad you are commiting to that team and should do your part to support it

I didnt sign it and why would i? Why do we who are not a part of "the professional players" care?

I wouldnt sign it, squadhopping is LAME AS HELL, and i dont really care that the "pros" will be losing a "feature, not a bug".

What really got me TO NOT sign this garbage was this statement:

"We have never asked for you to take away squad jumping, and honestly did not think you would be so stupid to actually think about something like that."

Why in hells F@cking sake, would these people insult the company that they would like to recieve a favor from....????? Ever hear of NOT BITING THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU?

Dont sign it, people that dont possess smarts, and to speak like that in a plea for help? they dont deserve it.......

I an see bad things coming in this thread.
              Keep it civil(ish) please.

That said, online petitions never work and I hardly think the community needs "saving".

Signed for the joy of everyone but I still dont agree with this change, I always jump from squad to squad because It's in the game and It very effective.

Especially when I play with my friend, when the squad leader dies, leave and re-join the squad to spawn with the rest. It encourages teamwork

                  Question:
Would not having to keep your SL alive (through covering him and/or making sure there's a medic around) be a bigger use of teamwork?

That, or now there will have to be more teamwork involved in keeping the squad leader alive (ie. every squad should have a medic). All squad hopping does in the first place is incourage risky judgements by the squad that puts the SL in danger. If you communicate and avoid situations like that then you should be fine.

And does anyone have a statistical figure on how many of the millions of internet petitions actual work?

                    edit: exactly wargimp

when the sl respons he could still give orders/requests (not as leader but as member),and could'nt the "new" leader step down and let the prefered guy lead?
see i'm not very good yet,but trying i have very limited squad expierence so far, i rarely join a squad because i dont want to screw them up . but i do better and so does the squad im on when i do join ,it seems to me that keeping the squad intact through a round will build better team play

I don't play competitively anymore, but I signed anyway. I don't see the point of randomly changing this now.

Get rid of squad hopping (even though i do it occasionally). I believe more teamwork is required to be successful without squad hopping. As it stands, i create a squad and i have people coming and going willy nilly if i happen to be near an enemy flag.....they join then instantly leave. I dont see a strong argument for teamwork in this case, just exploitation

Petitions are a fools wishful thinking.
