Potential uses for vehicle drops?

What would be the coolest and most useful way to use this new feature? It would be hilarious if you could drop an APC or Tank at the carrier. There's nothing the essex can do about that!

I beleive there will be a limitation to its use. I think the limitation will be where you place the humvee in the water and the vehicle drops on the closest land mass.

I hope you can only drop jeeps. That is probably how it will be. Still, drop one destroy the essex in like 3 seconds and mow everyone down.

I see a few dropped on carriers in the future. SOme for fun but most for EVIL.

It potentially opens up a lot of possiblities. For example, Spec Ops can actually get out now after they have finished their job. Additionally, a vehicle drop can potentially break up a stalemate infantry situation when you can get the superior firepower of humvee,etc.

It'll proabably just be the heavy jeep for each side. Actually I wonder, maybe just the US should get a vehicle drop because 1. I don't remember hearing the Chinese or Arabs doing airdrops like this and 2. most maps are the US assaulting some location while the enemy generally can get anywhere in their monopoly of vehicles.

I just thought of something; a pilot could fly towards a vehicle in midair, bail and enter the other dropped vehicle. Not sure what effect this would have but I imagine it would cause BF2 to barf somehow :)

EDIT: I can also see commanders dropping jeeps on snipers. ROTFL. What a waste but you just know it's gonna happen.

once you enter a vehicle being airdropped the chute would probably be detached-leaving you falling to your death :)

Yeah i see myself being squashed by a vehicle drop.

exfiltration for spec ops, downed pilots or "oh crap mine just went boom" personally i think it will be a great aid, but also greatly abused

Hopefully there won't be a limit to the amount of vehicles that can be dropped. (if it's jeeps only or just for jeeps). Another neat trick would be to drop some jeeps on the Oman Hotel as AA guns. You could snipe at any aircraft that's about to take off. How about dropping jeeps on tanks and other armor? We all know how bad BF2's collision detection is. I imagine that a well placed drop could blow a tank up instantly. Not like they can look up to avoid it!
