Dont get me started on idle times. I take a while to load levels, and there's times the Join Game message has just come up, I click the join game button and get kicked for idle time exceeded.....

BF2CC has an idle-manager as well, don't be quick to think its only PB doing this. However bf2cc was set up could be the reason you got kicked so quickly.

"excessive teamkilling, or by successful kick vote" - if kick even without successive teamkilling you either been manually (by the server) kick for being idle or you're been kick to make way for a clan member when server is full
"idle for more than __ minutes" - you're automatically been kick due to idle. Even if you have spawned or not spawned, once you're idle for a time set by the server then you'll be kick automatically. Moving your mouse (target cursor) at stationary position do not constitute idling. Zero activity is.
