the straferight.com 64 player karkand only server is the only good 64 karkand server I know. I used to play on 101st too but then they started rotating the map and I gave up on them.
I personally have found Crow servers to be a good server I will try the tg server sounds like it is a good server ....been running into to to many crappy servers. I hate all trinty run servers they are way to kiddie prone.

i was in that server and it sucked ....no offense but I got a 10 total score and was the 2nd best player on my team ....let just say we got base raped and I went 2 and 13 with a couple revives and then the game was over.
I know that this topic has been done to death, but they just as quickly fizzle out like Lindsay Lohan's singing career.
I'm looking for the following in a public server:
Fair, mature admins
Almost constant administrative presence
Fair, but not facist server rules
VOIP
A good presence of sportsmanlike visitors
Non-24/7 maps (ie, 24/7 Karkand, 24/7-Wake, etc)
Non-static squads and commanders
An extreme aversion to vehicle whores, spammers, cheaters, and whiners
If your server has that, post it and I'll visit when I can. :)
Some great servers that I play on frequently are Moongamers Karkand 24/7, Raw! Original West Coast Server which is also Karkand 24/7 and Moders Gaming which is also again Karkand 24/7...what can I say I love Karkand it is my fav map!
Trust me these are good servers and Moongamers is monitored constantly by {TA}Firestorm who is the top point leader in Battlefield 2 with over 400,000 points! He is one of the best Admins and does not take crap from anyone...you **** him off and you are gone for the day or even perma banned if you really test him. I think you will find this server to your enjoyment if you can get in! It is a super busy server with 60 slots.
The way I see it is "if you posted it on the intro screen, it's doctrine; if you make it up as you go, you're not a real admin". Those are the guys I'm trying to avoid.
A story of my own.
I was playing on the CHHG server. It was me and a fellow clanner playing with like 2 guys on the other team. I was using Special Forces and laid down some C4 around a flag. I left the base, and sure enough 2 minutes later the flag went white. I switched to my detonator, clicked, and bagged me a kill. Then the accusations that I'm a hacker start pouring over the chat from the victim, who also happens to be in the server owner's clan, and he's an admin. I do the same tactic again, and then I get kicked from the server. I come back in, and I find statements like "they probably f*ck eachother" and other highly intelligent conversation. They see that I'm back and summarily boot me again. At that point, my buddy leaves the server and we move on.
These are the people I'm trying to avoid. I won't call them names, I won't goad them into arguments about proper administration. It's their server, they can assign whoever they want to be admin. It's not my place for me to tell people what to do with their money. I just want to find the servers where they alredy know how to run them.

Dude do not get me wrong...{TA}Firestorm is a great guy and don't worry he won't pull any of that crap on you. He is fair and only kicks hackers and stupid people who are not contributing to the game. Very honest server but I did enjoy your story.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm trying to stay away from 24/7 one-map servers.
Still what else is a good ranked server ....only seen the tg .. is moon a good server.....i know it is hard to stay up on the cheaters because sometimes killing happens so fast.....but what are you supposed to do.

The only counter to cheaters is constant and fair administration. So long as you can prove they're doing it and kick them out, there is still hope.
Feel free to come check out our 50 slot server. IP is in the sig. We've got a good group of admins and we use the PsB ban list of 1600 known bf2 cheaters.
To help keep things competative we've started adding different clan tags to our server manager so clan members stay together and won't get team switched. Makes for some good competition.
