Looking for good servers

I know that this topic has been done to death, but they just as quickly fizzle out like Lindsay Lohan's singing career.

I'm looking for the following in a public server:

• Fair, mature admins
• Almost constant administrative presence
• Fair, but not facist server rules
• VOIP
• A good presence of sportsmanlike visitors
• Non-24/7 maps (ie, 24/7 Karkand, 24/7-Wake, etc)
• Non-static squads and commanders
• An extreme aversion to vehicle whores, spammers, cheaters, and whiners

If your server has that, post it and I'll visit when I can. :)

Yeah, good servers are hard to find since most admins are on power trips.. If you can find a good server where admins play by their own rules let me know...

Tactical-gamer is a very heavily admined server. But thats whats so great about it. The admins are great people who want to have fun and play the game as its meant to be played.

I used to be on the TG server alot. They play really well but the people there just seemed to static, like there was no humor or anything. Kind of made me uneasy.

TacticalGamer seems to fit the description. I'm not sure what people mean when they say 'static' though. If you mean 'regular' then that is true, TG has a very loyal following and many of the same people play there all the time. This is a good thing in my opinion, since the great majority of TG-tagged players are very helpful to new players and are experienced with teamwork and Commanding / Squad Leading. 90% of players use in-game VOIP. Look to join a squad led by a TG-tagged player and let them know you are new. They'll be happy to show you around.

Don't get me wrong, they are great people. They just were very serious when they played. No random chatter, no trash talking, no joking around. Come to think of it, it was pretty sweet. I guess I have come to expect more immaturity/goofing around from playing on pubbies all the time.

Very good responses, so far. Thank you all.

Some clarifications:

1. When I say non-static squads and commanders, there are some servers that will keep the same squads and commander of a team for the next round or map. While some people find this to be great, what happens when you have the only good squad locked or the commander was terrible? Better to start fresh each new round and let nature take its course.

2. I'm glad you recommended Tactical Gamers. While the devotion to team-based and goal oriented is definitely my play style, if I can't crack a joke or laugh at something, that's too serious. I'll give them a shot, but if they're too uptight I'll just excuse myself.

ya good servers are hard to find....cause there no way all admin are the same...SUX/CROW/CN server are decent...3 of my fav server to play on...have not seen any admin on those server with a power trip...

I've been banned two times in the 400+ hours I've played. My latest was loading up a chopper with C4, taking off and going about 100 yrd to a base raping tank and blowing him up. I was banned for Admin reasons :shakehead . Even though NO base raping is one of their rules, but jhading is not. :wall:

The server was 7th....something. I really don't understand why the Admins act this way, but the way I look at it, it's their loss, not mine. In the long run their are a ton of servers to play on, and the servers that operate like this will be avoided over time.

It is what it is, they run the server and have the right to act like imature morons.
