If you don't like the rules, play unranked. Is that really so difficult? Ranked = pre-determined documented ruleset.

Where did I say I don't agree with having a set of rules for ranked servers? I didn't, so don't quote me. As a matter of fact, I agree with that, but that is not the point I was making.

IndianScout, you want to help with the masses? Tell EA to get rid of that ridiculous pop up ad in the game browser, and either post, or link to the rules players have to abide by. Many players to this day, not to mention new players, do not even know there is an ROE, much less that they have to follow it. Personally, I think this would be a great addition to the next patch.

UNRANKED SERVERS:

RANKED SERVERS:
They have a set of rules, which attempts to put an order, if you will, regarding a Global Ranking System. When you enter into the ranked arena, expect to follow these rules. If you dont agree with them, then see the section regarding UNRANKED SERVERS above.
That is it. There is nothing to argue here.

And you are wrong again because them rules cater to all kinds of padding but ban good honest players that just play another way.

First of all, that would never happen. I rarely even touch a vehical. If i do, its to get to point a, to point b. Thats all.
However, if your talking about sitting in a spawn area and putting duct tape on your mouse button, and shooting into a known spawn area.......good, report them if its against the ROE. I personally think this type of player deserves a swift boot anyways. I have no time for idiots spamming, then proclaiming some sort of.............skill.

How about if a few clans in your league suddenly decide to play under a different ruleset than the agreed league rules because they are sick of you "telling them how to play" and they feel they should be able to play however they like?

Most (if not all) leagues allow for customisation of rules as long as both clans mutually agree on it. A lot of the leagues will also open up a new ladder to fit the type of game play that people want if the demand is there, which is why you see on places like CAL and TWL that they have Infantry only leagues also, to name but one of the few customised ladders to fit this. They are a lot more flexible than the ROE because their is no need to be in-flexible over something that is so simple.

A couple clans don't make TWL/CAL policy, and if they decide they don't want to follow the rules, they are not included in teh ladder/tournement. League players are not random pubbers that are ignorant of the rules.

So if clans make up these rules even for mutual benefit they are STILL breaking the ROE and stand to have stats reset (if on ranked obviously)??
I dont think the clan world will be too happy about that.

I know where this is going. You lame guys want the rules relaxed on official servers, so you can lame your way into the points race. Because you love laming on unranked servers, you just miss the ranking part of it.

Depending on the league, they don't have to accept the match with a team that doesn't want to play they way their supposed to or they can talk to an admin and have it rescheduled. Which in all, this part of the discussion has no bearing on the arguement of a knife and pistol server because they are so far off that you can't really use one to justify the other. And I can argue all day about league rules, because I used to be a head league admin for several other games before I got bored with it.

But that still doesn't relate to people mutually agreeing to play on a server the way they want. If a whole server full of people decide they will play on their payed ranked server the way they want, good for them. Does it really matter to me? No, it doesn't. If you go into a server that says 'Knife and Pistol Only', why and the hell would you want to go there if you don't want to play that way? You know what they're about, so move on and find one that does suit you.

If three people want to join a server and just use their pistols against everyone else, nobody is stopping them. There is your few people doing what they want that mite benefit them getting their badges or what have you.

Like I said, if they mutually agree that is they way they want to play on their server, fine, I don't have to play there, I'll go play on my own server, no big shake.
