doesnt anyone else find it sad ? bf2 police force e.t.c

any rules need to be built into the game to stop things happening that shouldnt be. not being told you cant do this or cant do that when the game allows you to.

First off, these rules wouldn't be required if so many people weren't so childish.

Second, just because the game alows you to do something, doesn't mean you should be doing it. What about getting in behind the terrain? How about rampent griefing TKing? The game lets you do these things too, but you'd have to be an utter tool to think that they should be consitered OK.

Because it alters the state of the system.
The point/rank/award system was set up by EA with the intention to make things challenging. Awards are set at levels where you can reasonably be expected to be able to attain those awards through normal play. Some of 'em require a damned fine round (especially the expert badges). When you change the weapons that can or can't be used, you alter the whole system. Pistol and Kinfe only servers make it WAY easier to get those awards since you don't have to worry about being gunned down at long range.

That said, I think some of the requirements are a little over the top. That doesn't mean they should be end-run, tho.

As for them alowing you to "actually score"... um, well, the majority of us don't seem to have an issue there. Do you have a particular problem or something? Are you trying to imply that your skills are lacking?

Nice exerpt try using the whole thing next time. Again I said that they dont want to allow you to play with just infantry or just pistols (which by the way, according to the "GREAT ROE" all Karkand only servers should be banned) but they dont care how you whore with jets or APC's.

And there isnt anything challenging about just shooting a grenade launcher all day. Get a pistol and see a real challenge.

You can use a pistol on any server, any map. Man up and earn your pistol badges on a regular server instead of taking the easy way out.

It is not amazing at all if any thing it is a joke i mean i payed for this game and others payed for ranked servers and as far as i am concerned if you buy something or pay for something you should be able to do what you want


The BF2 ROE was forced upon the BF2 community and who ever thought of it should be struck down and never able to play a game again:laugh:

I thought I did. Didn't I quote the whole thing? I focused on a particular part of the post you made, since it seems to be your main issue. As for the planes thing, I've been seeing planes being outscored quite often by serious groundpounders lately.

Why would Kark only servers violate the RoE? There's nothing in there about map restrictions. Kark is designed to support infantry play without aircover. If that's the kind of style that suites your tastes, have fun with it. Sharqi and Mash are perty good too.

As for vehicle whoring... either learn to beat 'em (quite doable) or join 'em. Nothing's stopping you from using or countering those assets.

Have you even used the 'nade launcher lately? Anyone that farms kills with that thing now is definatly using skill. As for pistols... meh, whatever, I gotta go for my vet badge perty soon. 7 kills with it shouldn't be hard. BTW, there's no great skill involved in using pistols when that's all anyone else can use. They are only underpowered because everything else is more powerful. If you want to lay claim to how great you are with pistols, go bag some PKMers with 'em.

Then should they not remove pistol and knife badges and replace them with the single 'i can sneak up behind someone' award? After all it is little achievement to select the knife when you are in a position to use any other weapon.

do you have a knife badge? It's not a walk in the park. If you have one, you should know this!

vet knife and vet pistol but i dont feel they represent any skill with either weapon since in each case i could have killed the opponants with any weapon

I just find it amazing how a video has became so popular and is so large in magnitude that people have made ROE (rules of enagement) for it.

It has less to do with popularity and more to do with the privately-owned ranked servers system. There has to be some oversight to ensure consistency.
