i have died so many times hearing that distinct click noise signifying that ur out of ammo and realizing..oh crap im dead why didnt i reload earlier!?!?

plus..just a preference but i love it when im like low on ammo and i have to make each shot count and just imagine: behind enemy lines..alone..stranded ..surrounded..low on ammo/supplies need to return to base..adn then i just fight my way back to base

There's usually going to be some support noob throwing ammo bags everywhere anyway, so I don't worry about ammo that much. Most of the time I'm dead before I've used up all of my clips anyway.

No, but really. Better safe then sorry.

It became such a habit or me though, that I found myself reloading after firing like 4 shots, so now I watch carefully....lol

Its true that a lot of people have "Counterstrike reflexes" wherby they reload after 1 shot, however modt people i see reload after about half a mag.

Imo its prudent to do so, beacuse (and ill repeat it) better safe than sorry. Uve got about 20 people with support, ammo is rarely a problem, unless you constantly need nades / speciality item.

As a sniper, my rule is this:
If i have 3 bullets left, leave it, unless there is an ammo pack.
2 bullets ill reload if its going to be tight.
1 bullet i will def reload unless its critical.

I find i rarely run out of ammo this way.

On the occasions where I play a kit other than support, I won't reload until im 1/2 empty.

I'll generally reload below 3/4. Between supply crates and the influx of support players since 1.2, I can't even remember the last time I ran out of bullets. I sure can name a few times a full clip has saved me though.

Im the same with you, I rarely reload unless I have like 3 - 7 bullets (Incase I get ambushed) but people who reload after like 3 bullets do that incase they get ambushed, they can juts spray there heart out with there full clip.

Clip? Ahh, yes, magazine! Yeah, I reload when I think some bad sh!t is going to happen and I'm down to maybe 12 or so, starting with 30, or maybe 2 for a bolt-action sniper.

When I play support (either with PLA lmg, or PKM) I normally reload around 30 bullets. If it's been a quiet game, I'll reload at about 50/60 bullets.

heh.... with support I'll reload any time there's no one in my face. Or if I'm in enemy territory, after I'm pretty sure I've killed everyone, because I know it doesn't take a full clip to do that. :P

Personally I reload when I get to around the 2/3 mark. I just get edgy when I don't have a full mag in the well. You never know when you will have to go cyclic against a group of people.

However it depends on the situation. If I'm behind enemy lines, as a medic, and I only have 12 rounds and one spare mag, I'll keep the 12 and hope for the best.

If I'm surrounded by people spamming supply bags, I'll reload. If I can get to a supply box, same deal.

I don't often run out of ammo with my assault rifles, its only as Sniper, AT (you often expend more than 1/2 a mag killing someone, and 1/3 of a mag isn't useful) or as engineer. Those 25 shotgun rounds disapear fast in combat :)

But seriously, if I'm getting low on ammo, I shoud have killed a bunch of people. And unless I am hiding in the shadows somwhere where they can't see me, I'll grab one of their kits and mission with a fuly restocked gun.

I willl reload normally after every single firefight but i have the nack of being able to pick up nearly any weapon and useing it so if im ever low on ammo ill pick up the kit of the enemy ive just killed. However if im low on life or ammo and ive just killed a medic or support player and the areas clear ill pick up there kit spam out a couple of ammo bags or medic kits and self heal or rearm myself and then swap back to my original kit.
