When I watch frag videos of others playing in FPS view, I always note the fact that they reload before the clip is even half-spent.
I really don't understand the logic behind this. Are you guys aware that BF2 is not like CSS and such, where bullets from your clip are carried over to your next? When you reload with 15 bullets left, those are lost, not added back.
I usually wait until I have less 5 bullets left in the red, and even then, 5 bullets is enough to take down 2 or more players with well placed shots with an auto.
If I were to reload after every kill like I would in any other game, I would pretty much only have enough ammo to kill 4 people (4 clips given) before I draw blanks, and there are never supports around when I seem to need them.
