    Not as well as you would want. The most you will gain is a few fps. Sure that may be all you need but the performance boost can sometimes be not worth it.

      What harddrive do you have?

      It all depends on the HD

      I used to have an IDE and that sucked, so now i have a SATA and record with teh same graphix card @ 60 fps constant. (viewing a demo) and usually around 40-50 fps when ingame recording.

        My friend had the same problem when he tried to make a Guildwars video, he just ended up having to turn down his settings.
