If baseraping is not allowed, then just defend the closest flag. I cant see the problem. I know how a problem is created: one or two people decide to rape the uncap, then next minute, you got the whole frigging team doing it.
Im easy. Base raping is fun with a few boys. But if its not allowed, then chill out of your score and wait for them to come. Its much more satisfying to say they just couldn't cap a flag and we didn't base rape.

santanbzb sounds like you found a server admined like ours if you break the rules you are warned that you have broken the rules, if you keep doing it then we take the next step of a kick if you come back and keep doing it then you end up with a ban I know some clans act differently but then not all server rules are then same all that play on our server get the same treatment public or a visiting clan or our own members if you break the server rules you get the same treatment with NO exeptions and most clan servers are the same but you always get the bad ones I can not say that you don't

Nah, it was raging rebels and its a nice server but after 500+ hours of the game i have to say that it wasnt obvious to me that airspace was a safe haven, imho it seems like something monty pyhon might script, but not my server so not up to me. Given that i shot down clan memebers i did only mean to imply that they at least warned me rather than the standard kick i expected, just a bit frustrating that i did do something wrong when i diddnt mean to or realise at the time.

sorry grovedob I did not realise that you spoke "majority of the BF2 community" I must have missed the polls that you ran or do you work for EA and have access to all the emails that they are sent? I have been playing Battlefield since 1942 came out and the "no base camping rule" is far from new, and as for "how confident of a player" I am you do not know what sort of player I am nor do I know what sort of player you are so don't jump to assumptions about players you don't know, what I will say is I play for fun not to stat whore like some players do. you say "fortunately there are plenty of servers out there" hopefuly you will read the server rules when you join these or else you will have to come back here and put a "I been kicked by a nasty admin" post on this forum again

As you could see, most of the replies agreed with my post. But I created a poll on this subject, so we don't have to argue about this any longer. If the majority of the votes agree with you, I'll take my hat off.

How can you say its not obvious, when its spammed "every 60 secs" in game?

We are pretty leniant, especially with that rule. The only reason we have that rule is because its a popular rule. If you ask most of our clan guys don't like it but.. they wouldn't like an empty server either.

For future reference you can maintain lock all you like over an uncap, once they leave the uncap you can fire, you just can't fire when they are over the uncap airspace. In fact you can be over the uncap and they can have left the uncap and you can fire your A2A. You can fly over the uncap all you like for recon missions as long as you don't fire. So its not a no fly zone.

Its an all or nothing rule when it comes to uncaps. It makes it easier to admin. If say you were firing on a plane reloading, with guns and just happened to kill people on the ground in the uncap, with stray rounds, how do we know it wasn't intentional?

Anyways santanzb you have played heaps on our server and we have never had a problem with you to my recollection and are always welcomed back and as you can see we give warnings before a kick 9/10 times and try to be fair at all times.

there are around 50,000 people who play this game each night how many have access to your little poll on this forum? let me see from the members list....Members: 31,563 (Active Members: 3,606) take into account that at a guess 20% wont bother to vote, so how much use do you think you little poll here is worth? it is NOT open to all that play BF2 so at the end of the day it's worth ****

I don't play for nothing. I payed $50 for this game. Did I spend my money to obey someones personal rules that don't make sense? The only rules that everybody should go by are the ROE. Plenty of times I've been kicked for killing the admins too many times, or for catching clans and the admins stat padding on their own servers. So don't give me that crap. No basereping rule should not apply if you take all of their flags. Am I suppose to wait and let them cap one of our flags, before I can continue to attack???? The whole concept of being able to play only on private servers with admins like yourself that can make up their own additional rules on top of ROE is ridiculuous.

It is allowable under the EA BF2 ROE to disallow attacking the uncap, the question is was this clearly indicated as a rule of this particular server?

I only go and attack their base (or rape if you prefer)after I take all of their flags. I'm not gonna sit around and wait, or even better turn my back and let them kill me and take a flag, so I can continue my game.

So why do we have polls on any subject then?
All the statistical data in the world is obtained the same way. That's how statistics works, you check the behavior of a random group; the behavior of the total population cannot differ by more than +/- 10% max. That's how public opinion is formed, or did you maybe think that they interview all the 6 billion human beings on this planet.
You are better off admitting that you are wrong than making fool out of yourself by denying the credibility of a public poll. You and your little unimportant server.

I was playing ghost town the other day and this admin got mad at me and said I was "camping the tow", and then he said I was cheating. I was SAS on a really crappy team and spetz had us pinned down to our main base. I was sitting in the tow, taking out their AA anytime it spawned at the first base, and taking out the chopper with the tow as soon as anyone got in it at the south chopper base. then anytime their apc or AA would show up at the western road corner, I would take them out. he basically said you cant see that far, and I must be cheating. :laugh:

govedob you still fail to see it's not a full public poll only registered forum members can vote in it, it's not official (not that that matters as EA would ignore it anyway)

You are still not answering my question:Am I suppose to wait and let them cap one of our flags, before I can continue to attack? I totally agree with base raping not being allowed, but not if my team captures all of the enemy flags. That should be an exception from the base raping rule. And btw I think you got robbed, since ranked servers can be found for as little as $96 a month.

Govedov shall we have a statsfight? My winratio vs your winratio without me baseraping?
