    Re: Support guide

Ooooooookay, I'll be updating this guide again, giving more relevant positions as per my written section of the original guide (that big block of text you *should* read first )

No, no more video. It's proven to be too much effort, and would take several weeks of editing. Expect an update in.. a week?

Most up-to-date version can be found

      Re: Support guide

Wow... this has been a more helpful post than most... MrBenis being helpful!? NAW!!!! my god. He does have a heart... or then again, a socio/psychopath with a heart: "Let 5 or 6 teammates go in first. The first two will get mowed down" lol

But great stuff though. Can't stress more on the 'shoot while proning only' point. A bullet came out of my MG36 almost SIDEWAYS once because I was standing. :P

          Re: Support guide

Just wondering, would anyone recommend zoomed or unzoomed when proning with a LMG? it just seems so much easier to aim with the LMG unzoomed.

          Anyone?

            Re: Support guide

cant help ya but i know the PKM zoomed in is deadly accurate if you dont hold the button.

            Wait a sec...

I think I learnt that from this thread!

            Been so long lol.

Good info I usally go for the PKM unless I am on chines then I use the default wep since it has deccent aiming also I'd like to say bravo on the scores looked pretty impresive.

When talking about which support weapon is best, don't just talk about killing, stopping power is also important imo, so I like the SAW

Just like to add - bravo zulu for the Support Guide. Managed to get out my Support rut using the advice, and help my team some too.

                      Re: Support guide

I'd just like to point out that I will update the fevergaming link soon.

I've discovered some new (and rediscovered some old) spots that suit PKMing quite well.

                      @ damage:

As a guy who has almost got more LMG kills than his total vehicle kills combined, I'm amazed that you use the SAW. Sure some turkeys like to use the RPK (of course who wouldn't want some insta-gibbing spam cannon of death..?) but the PKM has remained my big killer since 1.02.

**** I been doing this too long :S

                        You rock. :salute:

Your tips helped me get my head round Support as something.... enjoyable! :yay:

And one-two-three stabs at the trigger are a lovely way to take distance targets down.

                        Sweet!

Id like to add, support have crappy guns at long range, but in close range they are not so bad, goes to engineers also. Heres a list of what I think are the best-worst guns (top-best, bottom-worst)

Blackhawk Chaingun: Man, i wish i can use this on foot. you would rule with this. but too bad EA wont allow it.
MG36- accurate, less of a pullback, burst mode, and quiet than other support guns.
PKM: slower rate of fire but strong bullets, accurate best only when proning
M249SAW: pretty good reliable gun, deadly and accurate close range, fast rate of firing.
Chinese- alright gun- almost like an old version of the MG36, go use an unlock gun instaid
MEC- this gun is useless, go and use an unlock as PKM or MG36.

                          Tips for resupply:
to get the most resupply points,
In Mashtur or any other map with a heli, tell the people to throw the nades out of the heli. I get some points for kill this helps if the gunners miss their targets, or to damage vehicles.

                          2. If your team takes over an enemy base with their equipment( art. UAV, and scan) stick close to a spec ops. so they will resupply c4 for them.

                          3. Snipers, anti tanks also run out of ammo quickly
EMPHASIS on the "MEC" gun. You mean the RPK-74? And No!! I think, (along with many others) That this gun is FAR from useless. It is awsome and accurate. Least deviation and does alot of damage (not compared to the PKM) I think you can kill an non armoured soldier with 3 hits and an armed one with 4. And one shot to the head is a kill. Man I love the RPK-74. I think you should re-think its "useless-ness". Try it on karkand, or mash. You might liike it.

Uhh friend? That guy made his post over a year ago :P at a time when the RPK actually was a crap weapon.

This guide needs a cleanup, I think. I really should finish that video aswell.. *le Sigh*.

Okay, I actually have made a serious attempt at the video, but am curious to know whether people would prefer to read commentary, or to have me (yes.. me) speak it.

The video will be quite long, and in a reasonable quality format (800x600 fullscreen FRAPS, no sound, 22-25 fps) and as such, will probably end up as quite a large file.

So yea, I'll just take a quick vote: Oral commentary, yes or no?

                                My take:

                                If tutorial- yes plz commentary
If frag- rather not on the commentary

Whichever one it is more go like that...

                                Cheers
