It's a good gun, but over-shadowed by the shotguns, IMO. I rarely ever use it.

I guess it's just me, but the MP7 and the P90 have the same rate of fire, but it seems like the P90 is still slower. The MP7 rocks, You can use semi automatic at medium range and it is effective.

Its an illusion because they didnt change the NOISE the P90 makes from when it was only 600 rpm and the fact it has 10 more bullets per clip. I had the same "feeling" so timed 40 rounds from the p90 and its identical to the mp7. Hopefully they will swop the sound effect at the next patch as it was probably just overlooked.

I like the MP7, its actually pretty accurate even at range, but i have to fight the jackhammer urge when i am engineer so it dosent get its fair share of use unfortunatly :|:

Compared to a rifle, which is what most players are using, yes it is.

It's alright when you have the advantage of surprise, but if the enemy is already firing in your direction, then it's subpar to the shotguns.

I find the MP7 a great gun at close range (such as Karkand) but at distance it's useless.

Its nice, because the engineer otherwise has no viable long-range weapons. Its good at close range (although not as good as a shotgun), but it is much better than shotguns in medium/long range encounters. I find it fun, but it was really a lot better before the patch nerfed it.

Its a good gun. You got to save your ammo though. Ify ou reckon you could get him with a pistol. Use your pistol.

It is a great gun, you just have to be conservative with you ammo.
And about the P90 noise, that's the way it is, it has a mechanism to fool people to think that it has a slow rate of fire, but is actually shooting alot more bullets that you think, it is some kind of sound suppression system

It's a pea-shooter. I've tried it, hated it, they nerfed the accuracy and now I hate it even more. With shotguns, you're terrible long range and powerful close. With the MP7, you're slightly better than terrible at all ranges.

No, it originally fired 600 RPM, they changed it to 900 but didn't update the animation.

It's a bad shooter compared to others at mid to higher range but wonderful up close. It's potential is apparent in Karkand especially when you turn to a corner with lots of enemies behind or jumping to the flag when a number of your enemies is on the process of capturing it. The rate of fire is best suited for this kind of situation for me.
