That button in the bottom right hand corner you always accidentally press when trying to disconnect and then it takes 20 minutes to find a server and then another 10 to unload the resources...ya, its always been there

People who go into pistol/knife servers deserve to get stats wiped.

But i think BF2 is too stat orientiered so i dont realy care

There is a join now button?

BF2 also installs a PLAY NOW icon on your desktop. It's common to press that on accident since it's the same icon.

oh no thats not the one. the one we are talking about is the "Play Bf2 Online Now" shortcut in your start menu > EA games >Bf2 folder.
The one you mentioned is the "auto join" which I think is supposed to join the server as soon as the map loads, but even with it checked you still have to hit the button to enter the game.

ive never understood the "auto ready" or whatever option that is...wtf does it do....??i see no difference with it checked or not......another thing i dont know what does....(off topic) is the anti-aliasing....the only difference i notice with it on 6x, as opposed to off, is these streak things (grafics glitch?) and stuttering......works fine with it off...wtf does it do??

Auto ready joins the game for you in one minute if you check the box, or else it just sits at the weldcome to the server screen.

AA is used for those distant buildings where the lines gets jagged, and it puts pixels in between the jag lines to give you a straighter line. Its just another eye candy function.

I dont use the "auto server select" that feature has never worked for me. It would be pretty ignorant of someone to not look at the server loading screen at least once to see where the hell they are going. For all you know you could be logging into a server on the other side of the planet....

Yeah I never use that Join Now thing....I do my own search or stick with my favorites.
