    Nations At War Trojan

Haven't seen any threads on this yet, but about a week ago I downloaded the Nations At War 3.9 mod with map pack 3, as well as downloading map pack 1 and 2.
Today my system started slagging up and I thought uh oh, somethings going on here.
After running a full system scan, I picked up the same trojan in each of the install files.

All I can say is... WTF? Wasn't picked up when I downloaded them, or installed them, and everything's been working fine for a week.

Yeah, I noticed that every map had a trojan in it...just deleated it right away. But you're right, it seemed to come after a week or two of playing. Havent downloaded any mods since.

After downloading something to your desktop, don't you scan the file for viruses?

subseven and doom? wth? damn! old school returns!!, theyve been around for years!!!!

Also .. why does everyone think norton is the mutts nutts? its probably takes more system, resources than subseven would if you were been pwned under remote control for gods sake LOFL

to be honest I use spy sweeper and it stops the trojans and anything which wants to stealthly download itself off a website onto my PC. Also has a nice function which stops programs putting themselves into your startup folder without your knowledge. I'd recommend it. :)

                            Re: Nations At War Trojan

its a flase alarm. the trojan picked up is trojan.start, but only symantec/norton is able to pick it up, and not any other AV programs. so we contacted symanetec, and they have confirmed that it was a false alarm. it seems to think the installer is installing a virus. but its only an issue with symantec antivirus programs, so dont worry.
