I like the idea of giving the engineers rifled slugs (was thinking about that a while ago), buckshot for up close, down and dirty fighting and slugs for longer range. The other thing i was thinking was using the slugs to detonate ordinance from range, using them to destroy mines and claymores.

I have to agree about the guy in the video using birdshot, firing buckshot one handed you would probably seen weapon snap back and bang him on the skull.:p

( BTW anybody notice the Remington 11-87 shotgun in real life is an auto yet in game it's pump?)

If someone calls you a name, big friggen deal. Show everyone you are "better than" by replying in an unruffled rational way without the name calling.

If you really feel the need to insult, it's way more effective to use a little wit about it. Spouthing four letter words and screaming about how you have a life ain't gonna help your case. At all.

BTW, your info on British cops is flawed. Some carry nightsitcks (actually "Billies", more like bottons tha nightsitcks), some cary guns. Your average footie cop doesn't pack any firearms, but they can quickly call in people who do. Their equvilent to SWAT carries some damned nasty gear.

What, exeactly, do you think the cops used to shoot the crap outta that suspected bomber in the tunnels last year? Harsh language?

It's also worth noting that their cops have a much lower ratio of accedental police killings than the States does. MUCH lower. Their police are generally a lot better trained too.

Point is, your information is bad. I'd suggest getting to know some of the facts before you freak out at someone who pointed out that you're wrong and stated your case really badly.

If you check my stats you can clearly see I average around 1 hour per day, not quite the 12 you are claiming.
It's nice that you know "frakkin" well that our police are banned from having guns. I can only assume you are reading the news the saucer people send you as this plain and simply isn't true. Perhaps their dictionary is where you acquire words such as "repuational", because I sure never saw a word like that in any English dictionary.

That video shows an already nerfed gun. He's using very light clay shot.
I've actually been hit by that stuff and it didn't even break the skin (I was about 50 meters away and cause some stray pellets). I don't recomend testing this, ofcource. :p

Please, not everyone in the Air Force flies, and many of them don't fly into enemy territory. That is an invalid argument.

If I want, as a law abiding citizen in the UK, to obtain a firearm and ammunition for it, I have so many hoops to jump through it isn't funny. Yet by simply signing up I get a rifle thrust into my hands and thrown onto the rifle range, almost before I've even been given a specialisation.

If their rules are good for civilians, they should be good for the military as well. They should have voluntary firearm training in the military. Forcing it on those poor young people is exposing them to violence, and you never know how that might warp their fragile little minds. Please.

No Duh. There also seems to be the small fact that has missed you completely, that the SAS are infact a branch of the ARMY and not the AIR FORCE. Sorry bud.

While there are air force security and operational staff who do need to know how to use a firearm, there isn't a need for everyone to know about it.

Especially with your "SAS" argument. Only 1/10 of the people attempting the SAS selection make it. So thats 90% of the people who don't need to know how to use their guns like the SEALS.

Clatch 22, thanks for pointing that out. My brain never made the connection. I didn't connect the Remington 11-87 to the M11-87 in the game. Good point.

I was simply soo happy to see my Rem 870 with ghost rings, side saddle and polymer furniture in the game I went "Yippee! 870!". I though the lack of detail on the weapons fore end was simply lazy programming. Thanks for connecting the dots.

Although this isn't the first game to mess up the qualities of a shotgun. Remember the Benelli M3 Super 90 from Counter Strike? IRL it is a semi auto shotgun with a manual pump feature. This is to load low powered round slike CS gas, LTL bean bags, or to bypass the magazine and insert a door slug into the chamber directly. However the guy in CS was using it exclusively as a pump. Grrrr.
