inadequate O/S privelages

Two days ago i started getting this message after about 5 sec of being ingame i get kicked via PB, it says:
"RESTRICTED:Inadequate O/S Privelages"
I am the Admin of my PC. I used to play fine, anytime i wanted, never had any problems with PB, ever.
I duno if its maybe due to me deleting an windows account that i coumdnt even connect to called ASP.NET or something, but it did only start happening around the time period i installed euroforce and deleted that account.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

hmm...r u sure ur still admin? check Control Panel -> User accounts

yes, im certain, start/control pannel/user accounts/ its says the name of my account and under the name it says Administrator of the computer, protected by a password also im the only account on my pc.
The thing is i can play all my other online games, including, COD2 which uses PB aswell and i dont get kicked, so i really dont know whats going on its really annoying me.

Iam not sure, usually this happens if you try and play on a limited user account.
So the game was installed and patched to 1.22 using an admin account and you are trying to play the game online whilst logged into that same admin account correct?

Have you fully updated punkbuster using the pbsetup program on their site?

Yes, i installed bf2 onto my only account on my pc and patched it on the same account and yes i updated PB from the PB website, it was working fine for the past 8 months and now it just started to say inadequate O/S privelages. I duno what made it happen,i might have done somethings that could have caused it, all around the same time, i had some adware/ spyware so i installed some anti-spyware and got rid of all the threats it came up with, Then i bought and installed Euroforce, and i deleted an account on my pc that didnt even show when i would choose which account to log into called ASP.NET. Those are the only things that ive done so i dont know whats doing this.

Yea...this is BS. I just started to get this message today as well. A while back I stopped playing BF2, and just today reinstalled it to give it another try. I joined a server and all I keep doing is being kicked after 5 seconds or so and then the same O/S Priveleges Error message.

Just like this guy said. Nothing new or changed to my PC...same rig as I played before. I just went to PB site and it updated my BF2 PB files for me. So that is not the issue. Is there a Patch of BF2 that I have missed in the last few months that might be causing this?

Please help. I wanna play again

ok..so i found a fix to the O/S problem...but by fixing that problem it has created a new one. Instead of being kicked now for Inadequite O/S Privelege's, I am now being kicked for packet loss.

WTF is this PB **** for anyways. Can anyone please give me a rational explanation on why EA uses such unstable software??

And any fix you know for packet loss....please share so I can play.

i have also had this problem i have fully updated PB and iam theadmin on my pc (what is that ASP.NET account)? umm i recently re booted my pc and i changed around with the language setting so that i can get my keyboard working noramlly (English). any more ideas id be more than happy to listen...

ahh just now i tryed the languages thing and that didnt work either...

I also recentley played around with my language settings, but i put them back to normal after, and i still get the O/S problem . Its really annoying!

Um, I turned on my PC......double-clicked on BF2 shortcut....joined a server....and then got kicked. I am admin. Havnet been caught cheating. As a matter of fact....I uninstalled BF2 about 8 months ago and hadnt played since. I got bored yesterday(Sat.) and decided to try it again. So as soon as it was done loading i joined a game. And thats when this error message started to appear.

Have no clue. I am getting a new PC next week anyways...so hopefully I wont have this issue on new PC.

Thats the thing, I have absolutly NO idea about what ive done to cause this error, i mean ive stated all the things that ive downloaded/installed, deleted, etc... The other day (after i started having these problems) i was able to play on a server for around 20 min didnt have any problems, closed the game down, turned off my PC then when i came back i tired to join a server but RESTRICTED: Inadequate O/S privelages! ! ! !

dunno...umm just try and clean ur PC of everything related with BF2 and then try it again after you have reinstalled it if that doesnt work well....iam already thinking of selling it because iam certainly not prepared to re boot my PC just for this... gd luck with what ever you try?
