Sounds good to me... a little off-topic from bombing... but, how do I go about trying to resupply and get repairs from an airfield in a jet/bomber - whilst using keyboard and a mouse? whats the slowest speed a jet should go before it falls out of the sky?

You dont want to go below 400.

Why use both bombs at once anyway ? you can kill an full armour apc with board gun and one bomb very easily.

With tanks I prefer to use the same technique as apc's but just make two passes if its at full health.

Why waste 2 bombs on something that may not be at full armour ?

These tips arent meant for the ones who have mastered the bombing and ATS. I personally use single bomb drop when Im hunting armor, but I DO use double drop with a wide grouping for anti-infantry drops.

Youre obviously skilled and these tips wont help you out that much.

That being said. I find it extremely helpful for myself when I can estimate the locations of both bomb landing spots with ease by just looking at the stripes. I also find it extremely convenient that in order to execute a precision drop I dont have to perform a divebombing move.

Okay cool... I thought it would be something like that- I remember hitting 200 a lot, and yeah...

By the way; I preach exactly things like that in your sig :p I'm a devoted helo pilot, but I would never mind diversifying to jets. Especially if the helo's taken.

I hate picking up noobs who've never even heard of the TV missile or can't be bothered to use it.

I personally think they think the TV screen is a zoom feature for their cannon...

Battlefield 2 has such a variety of stuff to play with. Why limit yourself to one aspect. Ive started from Sniper and finished with Jihad Jeeps. Jets are closest to my heart though.

And good luck to you, I hope these pics and tips helped you out.

You don't know how many times I've 'pulled over' my helo to tell the gunner to get out- and not set foot near the chopper again.

Yeah, I'm still going to fly the helo's at first chance, but goodness knows- I'll probably cultivate a love for the jet in no time with your help.

Well- thanks for everything, and I'm sure this thread's gonna help out a lot of other jet-noobs as well

Hope this thread becomes a sticky.

                  Re: To help with bombing

I don't like the way you drop bombs.. very unnacurate that way (the distance between the bombs increases, the slower/less angle you have).

Personally, I go up really high, because normally im in an F-35B, and I LOVE speed! I get up to ALMOST max height (around 800 while max is probably somewhere near 830-840 or so..not that you can't get out of it..) Full afterburners blazing, and I just dive down like a ****ing madman, and go like 2,800 mph... and just nail the tank... they don't hear/see it coming.. its funny.

But I wouldn't suggest that for beginners. What I would suggest (for accurate bombing) is that they take at least a 45 degree angle, and turbo towards the target. Learning the timing isn't something that will be the same every time, so you just need to get a feel of the engine.

Sometimes, for the fun of it, I take out tanks with just straight up cannon fire.. lmao its funny.

Just go like 300mph (don't attempt if you don't know what you are doing, OR if there are any other jets in the air), and just keep hitting him with cannon fire. Give it about 6-8 seconds, and he will blow up.

Or, if there are jets in the air, just go normal speed and use cannons. Most likely it will only take 3 passes.

I wont argue your opinion, but I can tell you this- its by far the best combination of "easy" and "accurate". Not only do I perform precision bombing with this, I dont have to waste time for climbs either. And for me, dive bombing is a combination of "hard" and "irritating" :P

I can't hit the broadside of a barn in anything but the f-15. You have to love the 5 bomb spread with the air brakes!

nah, flying high does NOT work.
i use a joystick/kb and whenever i fly high, i either go to high, and lose control (so annoying!), or if i do get up there, i cant see the ground, and have to poitn down. by the time i have aseen a target, its to late to attack him.

besides, flying low is fun. you casn fly under bridges, dodge trees and swerve round mountains. it only goes wrong with lag :P

oh, and when you look behind you to check where bombs land, look back and its to late to do anything.

You are the problem then, not the aircraft tactic, because going high and vertically down REALLY works, lmfao, I remember the old days of BF1942 where the unlucky flak guys would be sitting around....then suddently 'weeeeeeee' BOOM from nowhere :p.

But I usually attack at a low angle, like 20-30 and strafe them with machineguns, then drop one bomb right into the side of them (with some luck :p), loop and dive them vertically = Death to any vehicle, even full health tanks.

Theres always room for adjustment, but I think theres a problem with your approach.

Take 900 as the zero mark. The faster you go and the greater the angle of attack, the closer the "release mark" is to the central reticle.
