Hi folks!
I am sorry if somebody will find out my thread chaotic and unclear but I am a little confused.
Recently i wrote that I had problems to get veteran snipers badgets, and many of you was nice and give advices, well since that time I got both veteran snipers badges (BF2 and BF2:SF badges), but when I tried to follow one of most given advice my expirience was... wierd. That advice was to join squad. At least for my eye thing they did often looked strange.
To be clear:
a) I got sniper badges on solo and joined squads mostly as medic(or support);
b) I tried this mostly on EA* ranked servers (so that was no some freaky pirate server)
1. Is there any reason why squad leader should get into plane or attack choper? I guess that makes immposible spawn on him. For some strange reason (at least strange for me) that was not rare when squad leader try to get into plane or attack choper.
2. I can understand when squad members are not together but they moves to one target and join there, but is there any logical reason why squad members constantly moves in different directions (to end up in different places of map far away from each other)?
3. What should be squad leaders duty and how to measure is he doing his job?
4. Same about squad as whole?
5. I saw this many times when teams attack enemies bases and no one defends, so making some kind of base switch. So even if squads have good tactic that doesn't mean that here will be some logical picture of battle in whole.
So should commander or squads bring order to battle?
Is there some main squads job that they should do besides comanders orders (please don't tell "kill enemies" :P :) )? Is commander main person who leads battle or commander is just some formal person who supports squads by artilery, UAV, supplies?
6. Is here such thing as defence in double assault maps at all?
Of course not all squads was ... strange IMHO, but mostly they was (I dont know what was funniest - squad of 5 medics or squad of 4 snipers sitting on one roof).
P.S. And that was a little problematic - same time to watch squadleader to see what he is doing to try learn something and try watch for enemies :-/
