I've never wanted to join the army but I still have to say that your experience sounds interesting. I bet your training helps your tactics when playing this game? :)

Some times it tends to on certin maps... but like video games being games there is alot of not realistic parts... parachuting off a building!!! :P

But I cant really get into the 100% realistic games... they are too boring..

The only reason why I hate Night Maps is because for some strange reason I lag like crazy. Then when I put on the night vision it gets even laggier.

I never really played on the night maps much, but im getting back into SF so i will do soon!

GOod! I was the same way, with the NIght Maps and pushing '7' all the time. But if the server is full, you don't have to worry about pushing '7', you'll be dead in no time. In reality the night maps are the same except more teamwork and thought goes into it, and of course the graphics. One thing I wish they did was implement the useage of lights on vehicles, the pixel is there but the lights don't turn on! that would be real cool... Server was actually full yesterday!

I havent had the chance to play muhc as i just got SF and havent had the chance to dload the full 1.22 patch yet.
So ive been playing alot of bot matches and I have to say from what ive pl;ayed the night maps are freekin sweet.
Ive always been a fan of creepy stuff (AVP 2 is a sweet game) and i like tactics and shizzle and the darkness. So night maps just appeal to me.

Yeah, I see and hear alot of people that are trying it again, and saying 'Wow' it is kinda fun, but then you have the heartbreakers. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy Warlord That is my fav! But Night Flight is a close second. I just got tired of waiting around for the next night map to roll so I made a server only night maps. Damn! needs to fill up though.

Damn blast it! FEK, AR$E, T!T$!!!! :cussing: I can't play on the 24/7 NIGHT MAPS + Ghost/Warlord Sever! It's US and Im living in crappy UK so my ping to it varies around 170!!!

Well I suppose I could play on it but it would lag like hell for me. Jittery stop animation and warping opponents is never fun. :shakehead

There was a good EA Euro server that went down and still is everytime I check my favs now and I've had to edit this post because of it There is however another very similar EA euro server for anyone in Europe that wants all the Night maps in the cycle. I think it has all of the day maps too though including the ones I don't like. It is...

Hahaha! yeah we got some UK/Germany on there and thier ping is around 130, turn down your graphics, you really don't need shadows...esp on a night map

Devils Perch is also a hell of alot of fun.

Devil's Perch and Night Flight are awesome. Leviathan I only play when i get a chopper since then im virtually untouchable. (as long as the comm points out the mobile AA).

You cant imagine how many knife kills you can get in night maps. You can sneak up on so many people. Once in Night Flight a bunch of people where sitting in the big building with the point on the roof. I found a real good spot where you arent seen grappling on the building and climb on a blindside. I got up there and saw like 3 people shooting towards our base. Well they all got knifed.

Night Maps are awesome for infantry combat. There arent too many heavily armored vehicles. (Exept Leviathan) and they are easily avoidable.

If there were 24/7 night map servers that had more then 1 person in them I would play there constantly. (Maybe exept Leviathan because it takes too damn long sometimes)

Yeah, I noticed the server gets empty when Leviathan and Devils Perch come on... It would be nice to have Night Flight/Mass Destruction server...hmmmm...

I like all bf2 maps including sf and ef, but night maps are by far the worst, they aren't well coded and are laggy, and in general just aren't AS fun as other maps, night maps still ARE fun, just not as much as others...

Why do you think they are bad?? Since I got this server going more and more people are rethinking on that, although it is not popular at them moment..Only 3 weeks old, and since I held polls and such, Ive notice 2 more night maps only and Ive seen servers that never used to host night maps are now doing just that. Remember -- Warlord was never popular either...As was Mashtuur or Sharqi...people are ready for change..TRy the night maps sometime and you'll see how fun they are. But I do notice alot of people Like Night Flight the most..

I'll dive on this week sometime and bring some chaps I game with. Not played Night maps in an age. Not played SF until I had a few maps on Ghost last night after getting bored with Sharqi.

I prefer Night flight from the night maps though myself. It feels a bit more open.
