I got mine on Karkand as well. I picked on people spawning, medics reviving people and most of all, people pinned down by tanks. I loved rushing people hiding from a tank. Just to pop around the corner and plunge a knife in their chest was great.
To get the medal things gotta go perfect. If u get a good start and there's a major fight for the hotel flag then go for it. If things spread out too much then abort and just enjoy the round. If you try too hard for it then it gets frustrating. It may sound hard to get but anything is possible in the right circumstances.

I got all mine on karkand it was so funny i was on USMC team and i run around the hotel then i saw too many mec standing and throwing nades well it was my expert knife

It was a nightmare trying to get my Expert and Basic. After I got my basic, I waited a while till I tried for my Vet and that was easier. The Basic was just hard because I was not as smooth and clean on my attacks. All were on Karkand. The Expert was a horrid frenzy because I was getting closer and closer every day to the magic number but would run out of time. I got it a couple months ago.
I had not used my knife since I got my Expert, but the other day, I got REAL ****ed off and when the round started, I spawned sniper and preceded to get 8 knife kills in the first 4 minutes on Sharqi. 5 kills in a row, 1 death, then 3 more kills. Since that night, I will go on kniving kicks where I will get 4-5 kills in a row because there is nothing like looking like a patch of grass in the shadows while people run by [as a sniper]. It seems like there are very few knife kills now like there were several months ago.

Got mine after a few tries. Tactics were simple:
Karkand
32 players
Long round
MEC
Spawn, run straight at enemy dodging/bunny hopping/hiding behind corners and finally jumping out at them when they finally get close enough. (A good tactic is to peek out of a corner, hide again, and when they come running stab em in the face)
