I have all graphics on High and a resolution of 1280 only because my LCD screen doesn't allow it to go bigger. Then again I prefer for my eyeballs not too hurt like CRTs make them do.

Even on my Saphire 9800Pro I run with them on. Terrain is on medium, but most other settings on low. Having shadows on shows u that sniper above, or the guy coming around the corner....very vital to survival.

                      Re: Shadows, on or off?

I have my Shadows on low but everything on Ultrahigh 1600x1200. When I had a ***ty machine, it was great having no shadows. When I got a better machine, it was annoying to run into a dark building and not be able to see anyone. But, I love having shadows on. There is an advantage when you can see shadows moving and do no have a UAV present.

It just spooks the hell out of me when I see a plane fly overhead and the shadow draws across me.

I suggest that any of you that dont understand why the guy started this poll turn all your dynamic light and shadows off and put lighting on low then take a look inside the construction sight buildings on sharqi or oman.

You will now see it is very bright inside and there is nowhere for anyone to hide.

It doesnt matter what hardaware you have putting it all on high just makes it harder for your eyes.

And its your eyes and co-ordination and speed that matter more than your system specs

Ya, there is a huge difference when you run into the construction sites. That is exactly what I was thinking in my post too. It is a shock to the senses when you run in there and suddenly can/can't see. A couple weeks ago, I ran right past a few USMC in Sharqi because I was a sniper going up the stairs in the construction site because they had their shadows on.

Yeah, I was mostly taking this poll to see what everyone else is doing and adjust if nessecary. Since more people play with them on, I don't feel like I am at a disadvantage. If it was the other way around, I would try turning them off for a while to see if that improved my K/D ratio. (Then again, I could probably make a mod that would allow my DAO-12 to fire artillery shells and still not get >1)

Has anyone that with low lighting/shadow effect noticed any difference when hit with a flashbang? I can usually still see some shadows or profiles after being flashbanged. Does this get better/worse with different setting or is it the same?
