One thing I love about bf2 is all the vehicles.. then I realized.. I had the same thing in ut2k4. just futuristic ones. (and less buggy) ... (well there WAS a buggy.. but that isn't what I was talking about.. wait.. nevermind.. I digress.)

Still not convinced enough to pre-order.

If my friends buy it and like it, yeah maybe I'll buy it but, I dunno, I've got a nasty taste in my mouth after all the bugs and issues of BF2, that are still around and havn't been resolved.

The Mech sounds ridiculously overpowered, that'll be the first community whine-fest, mark my words!

I hope some of these new engine tweaks to the physcs and explosions make it into bf2.
Seems kinda of stupid to cut the life of your already populer video game
In hopes of selling a new one.

Seems to me we have been somewhat pushed aside when it comes to inhancments
on bf2. And instead have to live with the small mods they call booster packs as The resorces are dumped into this

I mean ther realy hasnt been eny work done to the lighting and explosions
in vanilla at all.

I agree. They're enhancing the game but putting it into a version that alot of us will never like as much as vanilla. I wonder what happens after 2142 is released: will there be a year of "boosters" or a single expansion like Special Forces? Does this mean they'll start on BF3 this fall or will there be a year or two without anything?

Squad leaders can deploy a homing beacon that lets the team respawn at their location even if the leader is killed. The beacon will have drawbacks however,and it can be destroyed.

This is the biggest improvement IMHO... no more stupid "squadleader rotation" to keep the squad running!
I'd love to see a similar system in BF2.

EA knows it works because, unfortunately, 80% of bf2 players (mostly not on this forum) are idiots and will buy the game without know ANYTHING about it or how bad it is. They just buy it because it's a sequel.

I'm still waiting on hover craft being added to BF2 and the buddy list to be added that was in ALL the advertisements before i bought the game. Basically what they say is in the game and what they give are going to be two completely different things basically there going to lie through there teeth to get us to buy the game

I sense 2 expansion packs, 3 booster packs, mech uberwhoring ( it seems they are almost invincible ), engineer whoring and underused assault class.

I WILL read BF2142 reviews, i'm too pessimistic about this game. Other than that, more teamwork is required to succeed.

We need those beacons in BF2 NOW! I got all tingly while reading the homing beacon part.

Mechs will be fine if Jammers work as they should, if anyone plays PlanetSide and has had a BFR they know the pain of a Jammer Granade.

so laser designation was deemed as un-worth for BF2 as it was detremental to team play ( load of bollox that really ) but is being put into this one?


EA/Dice u bunch of hippocrites.

I will take a £10 bet from anyone that the features list will shrink by half just before its released..
