Staying in the same squad will increase your points at the end of the round.
That seems rather ham-handed. Should things like this be fixed with point incentives?
I hope they talk about improvements to the server browser sometime, maybe even a friends list, improvements to the netcode and performance, etc.Comment

sounds like alot of fun but to me it may be a little to futureristic for my tasts, if it weren't for the mechs i prob wouldn't get it

I hope some of these new engine tweaks to the physcs and explosions make it into bf2.
Seems kinda of stupid to cut the life of your already populer video game
In hopes of selling a new one.
Seems to me we have been somewhat pushed aside when it comes to inhancments
on bf2. And instead have to live with the small mods they call booster packs as The resorces are dumped into this
I mean ther realy hasnt been eny work done to the lighting and explosions
in vanilla at all.

I don't know why everyone is so stoked about Quake Wars. Have you guys played Quake 4? If so, do you remember how tacked on and BAD the vehicle interactions were? Also, don't forget the generally small and un-detailed outdoor envornments. (reminded me of Half-Life 1)
I just don't think that engine can pull a Battlefield type game out of itself without major tweaking. With that you run the risk of ruining the entire thing...like BF:V. (which runs worse than BF2)Comment

Yeah I remember the vehicle parts of Quake 4 being really boring and the outdoor environments being barren and uninteresting. If they make it more like the original ET where the vehicles aren't really a focus then it might be good, but then it won't be much of a competitor to BF2142.Originally posted by MooneyBravoComment

What i find funny is that everyone whines about the BF2 servers, when you all still play the game anyway! So dont be going around saying "Im not getting this game cause EA/servers suck balls blah blah blah" Bottom line: You'll buy it and dont deny it!
