just find out how to disable the graphic feature and you'll be fine.

if only windoes had a /dev/null, we could just tell the game to store the graphics there.

I've just realised how you could use this to transfer more than just spyware, imagine getting a virus from a game lol.

Yeah, there must be a way to turn a server graphic off, but then again, that server graphic is usually advertising for a company.

You can probably disable it by disabling images in IE. I have a feeling that DICE uses IE to render images in BF2. But I may be wrong and they have their own code for it. If you're really paranoid about these images A: use a virus scanner, B: you can find the folder where they download to and set the permissions for read only if you have WinXP Pro. Of course the most important thing you can do is keep Automatic Updates enabled or keep Windows updated if you don't like the amount of RAM lost with it on. Microsoft fixed the dreaded JPEG exploit about a month or so ago. Someone could find another hole though, you never can tell with Microsoft.

ahahhahaha :laugh: sorry that just made me laugh Actually i wouldnt be surprised if someone seriously did accuse them of that, EA/DICE seem to get blamed for everything else these days (they are the "new" microsoft maybe )

Wouldn't this only affect you if you viewed the JPG image outside of Battlefield? Or are they using the buggy Windows JPG renderer?
