I'd say make it a 1.25 or 1.5x bonus, that gives some incentive but won't make the rank system go nuts.
So you swap at the begging of the next round, and ride coattails to a victory. It happens already with team stacking, and you dont get anymore points for victory. I would only imagine that if you extra incentives that the problem would get worse, not better.

I strategy I like to do (even thought it's a little hard sometimes) is to get a few squads to cap all the East flags as soon as possible, then slowly start capping all the other flag and leave with with 1-2 flags. They'll be bleeding tickets in no time.

i think the majority of people like to have fun and the easiest way to do that IMO is to run towards the hotel all guns blazing, it's honestly alot more boring to just run around capping flags(which i have done) even if it does actually mean winning. i'v also been to rounds where one team is still able to win even though they dont capture any flags just through killing the other team.
so basically if you want strategic teamwork battles find a clan if you want to have senseless murdering fun run to the hotel

Actually, I disagree. The hotel may be key, but only as a distraction so your team can slip through the flanks and cap a rear base. If that rear base can be held long enough, USA has a good chance of capping more flags and taking the match.

                  Read the thread.

I think the river is the key. Although some will think that the Hotel to Square cluster faq is the key , it's only through serendipity that it results in a win. Also the enemy has to buy into the same concept.

If everyone fights this way then yes it could and often does result in a win, but it's not a sound strategy by any means.

My only motivation is to win. I don't see any other reason to play. There has to some sort of goal that directs you. I understand the fervor to get points for your unlocks, but they're not all that good. I don't use any unlocks, because I usually spawn medic (when SL) and AT (when SM).

As SL at SAK. I have a quick load (if it is a loaded map, some servers have 2 of each map). I grab a Hummer or APC (usually Hummer), go for the "Hail Mary". I take the outside route behind the retaining wall and try to cross the river.

When MEC, I mine that river. I wait, and to see if someone attempts to make a stab at Cement Factory or other riverside spawns.

I have a group of guys a I play with who aren't impatient and also want to win.

But people are catching on. I got mined in the narrow out of bounds area, some one must have ran over from Square or Hotel and dropped one over the edge , because I get there fast.

I don't wait for others (if it's a new map load) because I go as SL and "the guys" spawn on me. Essentially they get just as far as my computer is fast, with out spending the money on the hardware that I did.

On the larger map, you can cut away from the retaining wall sooner and drive in the river towards the backside ramp of Cement Factory. Many times at the start of the map there's no commander scanning (or scan isn't up yet).

Personally I don't see BF2 as that good of CQC shooter. It does an Ok job at intight stuff, but because of the cone it's sort of an even playing field.

It's a shame people don't take advantage of all that BF2 has. Funny thing I've noticed, it's the kids that try and play BF2 like an old school twitchy shooter. It's the adults who want to play "something new". Usually it's the other way around.
