Why ? you may ask. Because MEC cannot win karkand unless they hold all flags the whole round due to spawn rape at the hotel.

This just is not true. Karkand is my most played map, I've spent over 104 hours on it, and I can say for sure MEC does NOT need to hold all flags to win. Doubt me? I have 202 wins to 130 losses on Karkand. I've won with JUST the factory. Truth be told, MEC can win very easily. Personally I think MEC has it easy compared to USMC.

Karkand is nothing but noob tubers, thats why all the noobs with low
ranks play it so they can rack up points quickly..

we challenged a clan last week who played nothing but karkand
on a wake island match, and they fell apart, we beat them in less than
4 minutes.

besides stalemate, karkand is the worst map in the game..

Sadly this is true but stalemate was a good map, my favourite until they nerfed the chopper armour and C4 (splash radius and damage).

It was fun to fly around in the chinese school bus chopper dropping C4 on Blackhawks, Tank and APC's

Me, I usually try to take Suburb. Sometimes I get with a squad that really knows what to do and that's usually where we go while the others take the hotel and square

only god knows how many times as commander I have had to type in "LEAVE THE HOTEL FLAG ALONE AND SPREAD OUT..GO TAKE SOME FLAGS!!!" .. hehe, frustrating as commander to sit there and watch the entire map lay empty while all of your forces clusterfuk at the front

I just can't agree. I've played it so many times, and of my wins there maybe a handful were holding all the flags. Almost every time I've won Karkand we did not hold all flags. 99% of the time.

Our experiances differ I guess.

It is hard for MEC to defend. You need a really strong front line. You need some AT Mines near the left and right side.

In a war I would be patient enough to sit there because I know they will come but in a pb server? I dont think so.

This whole discussion just shows the problem with the scoring system as implemented. If you would only get your points if your team won, people would play differently.

Karkand is just Quake Deathmatch on most pubbies with a too often premature loss for the MEC because USMC get their main.
