The RPK has got to be one of the best guns in the game if not the best. The only thing that would give it a match would be the G3GE.
The M249 SAW However, is got to be the complete opposite. I hate it, too much fire rate. Too much recoil, no accuracy.

Out of the guns that aren't sniper rifles the G3 has been and probably always will be the most death dealingest gun

I find the G3 assualt rifle very very powerfull

At medium range, the G3 takes out enemy with 1 to 2 shot zoomed or not zoomed. PKM is good for fun but quite honestly, far from accurate when not zoomed. At zoomed, the vision is limited thus puts you in danger.

PKM is the most powerful weapon in this game at mid range, although it sucks at close range.

Originally the RPK was more accurate but since patch 1.2 the SAW beats the RPK in almost every way. The only advantage of the RPK is a lower maximum deviation which only takes effect after firing 11 rounds continuously. The SAW has always had the highest damage per second of any LMG (along with Type 95).

The RPK's main advantage is over range. The SAW is utterly terrible at range, the accuracy is bad, the recoil (as in, view shaking) is bad, the deviation is REALLY bad, the odds of the second shot hitting on an even slightly distant target is pretty much zero. It's mind-blowing what you can MISS with the SAW.

Then there's shot power. When you're firing long range and have to do everything one shot at a time, the automatic firing rate doesn't matter at all, only the number of shots needed to take down the target, and the RPK's shot power is MUCH better than the SAW or Type 95.

The G36E is the most powerful weapon in this game, IMO.

No doubt... I dont think there is a gun to beat that unless it is in extremely trained hands. (i.e. [MyIS]Spetznas and his SVD) lol. I for one, think the MG is better than the PKM.

Personally i havent got the MG36 but the PKM is just hard to use. If you are good with it, its really good as you know its strengths and its weaknesses there you excel with it. But personally its just tempermental. Sometimes i can hit a guy a couple hundred metres away and i turn around and not hit a guy 10 metres away. It dont seem to matter if i fire 5 or 50 rounds at em. Iron sights mode is almost useless. Quite simply, dont use IS mode on the PKM.

For a pure bullet killing power, nothing beats the G3. But its clip size ruins its reign. Therefore the G36C kicks its butt. But the G36C lacks accuracy at full auto in medium ranges. Therefore the G36E takes over. But the G36E lacks full auto in point blank ranges.

Each weapon has its good points and bad points. No gun is the owner of all. Just the owner of all IN A SET SCENARIO.

I have been using the M4, and if you havent used that gun for a while... try it... its my new favorite gun... i normally am not too great (probably within the top 5 or so on the ground) but, with the M4, I get like 4-5 kills at a time.. that thing is a beast.. close range... medium... far.....

you can even stand up and kill people 100m away.

the problem you have with PKM is due to not using the ironsight, as it increases your accuracy 20%.

I vote for AK-101 personally. Love that gun.

Same here, the AK101 and AK47 are definetely my favorites in BF2....
