BF2 is an Excellent Game

I have been lurking in this forum for a while now, and recently joined. I have read countless posts of how bad this game is, how many bugs it has, how all 3 bf series suck and how 2142 will suck too.

In all honesty, in my opinion BF2 is fantastic. Sure there may be those little things that annoy us all (every game has them), and sure EA doesnt support the game as well as Valve does for CS, but they are trying. I am sick of people complaining about everything, as if they happen to forget and can't justify why they spent the number hours they have playing this game.

What this game does for me is allow myself and my friends to have an amazing time for the couple of hours a week we play together. Whether its piloting a bomber and trying to outrun the god like J-10, where all you can hear in the squad is "Bank right!" "Pull Up!" Or, the compliments recieved when you have done a good job, and constant motivation giving between members.

I know this post doesnt have much of a discussion aspect to it, but just think about the reasons why you play, and just enjoy the game for what it has to offer you.

you know, im going to have to say that i fully agree with you. while there are times that i just get ****ed at the other players, for whatever reason, but other times its the exact opposite. i love this game, and while it does have its problems, there is just something about it that makes me wanna come back for more.

BF2 is an awesome game, just people are angry at some of the bugs. But now the game is almost balanced, only minor issues are left, except the J10.

I see people who have played the game 400+ hours and complain about this and that. Every multiplayer game has smacktards, retards and e-sadists. People just have to ignore them.

I 100% agree with the topicstarter and hope everyone else agrees too. :)

You're totally right: this game is absolute awesome!
Haven't seen much games in my 15 years of gaming yet which are so sophisticated. Yes, it has some bugs and some of them are really weird but hey: this is a huge game with a lot of different ways to play. Vehicles, unlocks, giant stats and different player-classes: it isn't easy to manage all these factors when you're programming a game.

I think it's obvious we all love the game. We're on a forum dedicated to it and we all play it. We just get ****ed at EA/Dice/God/etc. for the crap that occasionally happens. It's not because we don't like it that we bitch, it's because we DO like it that we bitch.

Yeah i prolly get a new game every month, after a week (if that) they are put aside and traded in, i just go back to BF2, it's incredible! :)

Even with all the problems that exist BF2 is a great game in my opinion. BF2142 I won't have anything to do with as I have no interest in future robot combat.

I doubt that the futuristic combat idea appeals to everyone,but remember, mods will appear alot quicker for it as it uses the same engine that BF2 does.
I doubt it will take very long for a comtemporary combat modification to arrive for BF2142. :)

I suppose, because we love the game so much- we just want it to improve over its bugs and problems... sort of like an obsessive mother.

It becomes quite a conundrum when people start saying how much they hate the game or that they're getting bored or leaving it mostly because of these reasons... they more or less loss sight of why they play the game, thus losing any sense of enjoyment.

I hope EA and DICE one day WILL make one final patch that would more or less FINISH MAKING BF2 once and for all- so that all those complaint threads will finally go away.

if you think about it since bf2142 uses the same engine it is tecnically in my book a mod of bf2 so i don't think there will be mods by the major players like FH and POE since they are already working on mods for this engine...
