Very multiplayer FPS games exist like the BF franchise games. Join Ops and BF are very similar in the way the game mechanics (very different in other areas though). The only other games that I can think of that compare are Delta Force and Operation Flashpoint -- both of these games have completely different games modes and are pretty old.

To answer your question, no I don't think so. As stated above, there are some logical reaons why that is.

Alternatively just make new maps specifically with "AAS" in mind. I wouldn't like to play a "push" variant on a map like zatar or god forbid, songhua.

Besides, wasnt there some maps in bf1942 that reflect AAS? I remember one of the desert maps (nazi vs british) where you had to collect them in order... flags were placed like a christmas tree.

I think your'e refering to Tobruk. Germans had to go through several layers of defenses and bunkers to get to a position.

to tell you the truth Im not really that big of a fan of the AAS mod, whenever I played it all we did was flag hop all over the map, barely making contact with the enemy, it was really boring. If it was changed to were once you capped a flag it couldnt be recapped than maybe Id enjoy it a little better.

The airpower imbalance totally devastates gameplay now. I think fixing that should be a higher priority than adding game modes. Individual aircraft should only have 1-3 sorties (bombloads) per round, need to land to re-arm, and if they get shot down they are gone for the round.

millions of tanks and commanders assets are far far worse than a few bombs from a plane
