Perhaps a driver kills stat type thingy along the lines of special ability points.
Kills when in a vehicle do not count toward your kit.
Same thing when commanding. "Oh yeah, got my Vet sniper" Cheers mate, you were commanding in the sniper kit and ARTY'd your way to Vet sniper!! If you get my drift.

I totally agree. Any kit score should go to the guy with the most points gained by using that kit. However half of these badges would not exist if people couldnt use the APC to get there Expert Engineer Badge.

I agree with the OP.

1. If the game promotes the ability to compare yourself to other players to see how you stack up, it should do it in a reasonable manner. Flying a jet doesn't make you a great sniper so kills while in a vehicle shouldn't be added to your kit stats. They should be added to the vehicle "kits".

2. Ultimately it just doesn't make sense. The same would go to wards commanders and getting arty kills. There should be a different kit called commander. This kit would have it's own set of weapons and you would only keep track of artillery kills not getting in a jet and bombing people when you should be playing that role.

This it might not get recorded anywhere, it is nice to see your name up in lights. Especially if you played hard and fought (scuse the pun) to get the score you did.

Which is easier? To drive around in a tank/plane and kill people who have a very limited chance of hitting back, or to run round as a grunt where people can kill you in 2 -3 shots, and you can get tanked and planed as well?

I'd like to see the vehicle driver have their score seperated from the kits. It CAN do this, because it scores you for the kills you get in the tank, so why not just exclude the points from the time the guy is in a tank?

It doesn't change anything fundamental, besides the enjoyment you get for seeing your name of the score board. Thy guys in plane/armour are already getting their name up there for scoring high in plane/armour, so why not give something back?

The kit stats must be taken with a giant grain of salt. It's easy to manipulate them via vechicles and commander kills and they are not really an accurate measure of skill. Same goes for KDR. The individual weapon stats give a better idea of how good a player really is.

Not even this, this is the problem with stats, I really don´t care abaut them and I wanted a new nick so I started a with a new one.
With my old one, my k/d ratio with an assault rifle was 0.91, my new one is almost 2...but as I am playing with a little more care...and don´t go with gun´s blazing, I spot the adversary further away and my accuracy gets penalized. So if you look at the k/d ratio i am better, if you look at my accuracy i am a worst player.

If I play in an EA ranked server my k/d ratio is much better than if I play in other servers...so the stats can be easily manipulated without cheating or stat padding.

Aside from that I Agree that it should exist more classes and the points you made piloting shouldn´t be counted to other kits.

Am I the only one who thinks getting points towards your kit for killing with a vehicle is a MAJOR skew on the stats? How many times have I gotten 15+ kills & capped 4 flags as a sniper, just to see that some jetwhore that happened to use a sniper kit got the high kit score for that round? I think Dice should have created another score, one for each vehice type, & no matter what kit you use to drive/pilot, your score goes gets tallied there. That way you could look at the leaderboard & actually compare yourself to people who used the kits, not just a bunch of vehicle mongers.

I agree with #2. This is a gross error on DICE's behalf. Medic kit + SU-35 = most lethal medic? Hardly. Makes it look like this guy was running around with his M-16/G36 and shock paddles non-stop killing guys. They should treat the vehicle you're piloting as a separate kit in and of itself. Once you're out of it, you revert to your original kit.

I agree, its stupid that someone can get an "expert" badge for something they never use. I mean look at that pic the guys only got 37 kills with a sniper rifle, but 4000 kills with the kit....doesnt take a genius to realise whats wrong with that. I spent ages trying to perfect leading and the drop on the m95 (got a guy in a boat with bullet drop and while leading at about 280m today was the best shot ive ever done. \m/). Its wrong that someone should get credit for not using the kit as it should do while there are other people i.e. snipers who are trying their hardest and not getting top spot cos of some tank whore.
