Calling or messaging EA or DICE in any shape or form is useless. They will give you the standard answer of "This problem has never been reported before" and bone you off.

That is true, not a great way to welcome a first time poster. We all just ripped him a new one.... As Cartman says..."You got F'ed in the A"...Not cool...It's wrong!

Really why call, why whine, look at any game theres cheaters and hackers everywhere in every game (well nearly) just go too pbbans.com look at the statistics, and thats not people who make hacks just for themself and friends and not get caught, really your whining about something thats a pointless topic to whine about.

if the servers packets are getting dropped - everyone on your screen stops for a second. That's jitter.

If it's client packets that are getting dropped - then you see everything normal - but you may all of a sudden jump 3 steps back from where you thought you were because those 3 steps never made it to the server

ping is the lowest CoS (Class of service) there is - so ping would get dropped before data would

icmp is connectionless - the client has no idea whether the server got the ping or not (and doesn't care)

unless bf2 encapsulates in some TCP form.

Unless you're talking about data packets being dropped and re-sent. Normally this would add to the latency (ping) due to high qeues - but i doubt it would significantly affect teh ping time. I bet it would only add enough congestion to bump it up a ms or two.
