Yes, i have killed someone with smoke grenades before, you have to throw it at the side of their face, below the helmet, if it hits the helmet, nothing will happen, if you hit it correctly, and the can fullly hits the face, 6/10 times you will get a smoke grenade kill, and also make sure you about 3-4meters away from the person you plan to throw it on, if you are to close, nothing wil happen also, i guess the can has to build up alittle speed or something, this is how i did it anyway, and i got quiet a few kills with it.
