also, if you get a server together of people who WANT the game to continue and NEVER take flags, the game will literally have huge scores for everyone.

taking flags doesn't effect the tickets a lot, only very very little, it's the kills who have the biggest effect on the tickets, this is why teams can win a round with having only one flag the whole round

My best: 225 as a commander, 223 as a soldier...

I also believe best round scores can be over 300 points , 16player server running 64map, 500points in one round seems a bit over the top

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Before the last few patches, you could become a commander 5 minutes before the end, and double your score. On 16 players/64 map size servers it was quite possible to get scores as high as 500, but scores higher than that have questionable credibility.
