On top of Karkand Hotel

The other day I was on a public server and kept getting killed by grenades mysteriously dropping onto the landing at the Karkand hotel. After a couple of deaths I started circling the hotel to see where these greandes were coming from. No one was around, but on a whim, i looked up and sure enough, there were two guys up on the TOP of the tall hotel, a medic and a support guy, racking up kills left and right.

I went prone and would kill one guy, and the other would revive him. SO I would kill him again, and on and on, until finally the stupid medic got in the way of my fire and I killed him too. Served em right.

The question is, how did they get up there? Had to be a hack, right?

depends if FF is on or off..if FF is off u can c4 yourself up there

it's actually easy, if you know how to do it properly (which i don't). i've done it myself, but i can't do it consistantly enough without dying to make it worth it. also, i forget about it :P and no, i won't tell people how to do it. and no, it doesn't require c4.

It's not an exploit if it is where I think it is. You just have to have good timing to clear the roof. Jumping, that is. If your ping is too high, you'll fall every time. Sometimes you die from the fall, sometimes only badly wounded. It's worth it to pound people with a squad up there, though. :evil:

I have looked all around the hotel, can't see any legitimate way to get up there. I thought about dropping multiple ammo crates to create a Mario-esque jumping puzzle, but even that doesn't make any sense. I freely admit I'm new to the game, but not new enough to miss how to get so high up in the air without jumping out of an aircraft.

And Friendly Fire was ON, so no C4 launching.

Simple. You go up the stairs inside the building that is visible from the tow launcher at the next flag. Get on the roof. You'll see a ramp looking object on the roof. Get on the ledge that's right after the ramp. Face west. You'll see the destination roof. Make a running jump and hope you make the jump. Bam, you're up top. If you fall, well...ouch.

if you request a supply crate right on top of the rail closest to the building youre trying to get ontop of, its easier than jumping off the rail

yep there are a few buildings u can get on on that map. The best ones are when TeamKill and stuff is off
