        I know if you want Dual Chanel you need two identical RAM sticks

            Dual channel.

            One stick in each colored slot pair. You can run a pair of any ram you want to. But not just one or three sticks. My ASUS board has 4 x 512 for 2 gig total using all 4 slots and runs in Dual channel.

            Regarding a poster's comments about never needing a supercomputer, I say wait until 64 Bit computing takes hold a few years from now with 8 Gigs or more of ram.
