Hmm, I'm surprised that they didn't make the graphics look better? Is it just improving the FPS and lowering the heat? I have a 7800GT and it looks exactly like that. :|:

the game will look exactly the same on every card with maxed settings.....

          only the performance will change

Not exactly true, but I get your point. :)

With a 5950Ultra maxed out, it can't manage to show these graphics results, simply because it can't. So I just thought that a 7900GT would be better graphics wise, like the 7800GT is better than a 5950Ultra. I guess, you can't do that, since the game wasn't made on a 7900GT. :)

Those are looking pretty darn nice. What FPS' are you getting and is that on high? Just asking because if so, then my new computer will be one of the smartest purchases of my life.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but GeoffRowly - I highly recommend you to get the 2GB of ram, it's crucial in a game like BF2. The game will stutter, when you run BF2 maxed out. :)

                Mhmm, I like your computer.

I run 1024x768 with everything on high with an average of 50-90 FPS :)

And yes, if you want all high, you NEED 2GB RAM.

Hmm, could your CPU be a bottleneck to the rest of your system QuickSilv3r47? Because I'm running 1280x1024 with everything on high, and an average of 50-90 FPS, just like you. You even have a better graphics card than me.

Well to be honest I haven't even tried 1280x1024 lol. I downclocked my card to 441/628(1256) because my card is running at ~72 C, which is very warm for this card..

Getting a new one sent from eVGA in the next few days! :)

Ya you really will want to get 2gb of RAM because in a game like this that much RAM is required to run max settings without stuttering

It is uselss to have Dynamic Shadows and Dynamic Lightning on anything but low, visual quality is negligible while performance loss is not. Also Lightning, there is almost no difference between Medium and High, same for Textures (at least as far as i can see). So i am getting the same framerate and visual quality QuikSilv3r47 is getting (or very close to it anyway), but on a 6600GT and with 2xAA and 8xAF.
